"Tsukimotoya Ryokan provided a memorable and authentic ryokan experience for our family. Only a few minutes from the main onsen baths (yanagiyu, ichinoyu, goshonoyu, konouyu and jizoyu). The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner were amazing and so delicious. The warm hospitality provided to us felt like we were staying with family instead of at a public ryokan. Very reasonably priced and highly recommended. "

"The staff were amazing. So friendly and helpful. The onsen at the hotel was possibly the best of the big onsens in Kinosaki. They provided great amenities and the outdoor space was beautiful with a terrific cold plunge. The room was beautiful and clean. "

"We stayed one night as a quick visit. The hotel is located at the end of the onsen strip. It's a older hotel. Lights are dimmer than the ones in the cities. We like that we get futons and sleep on the floor. Front desk staff speaks limited English, but they try their best to answer our questions. They will use a translator to help us understand if we have questions. They also loan out yukata for us to wear and we can onsen hop to other hotel onsen at no additional charge. We get a tour to our room from the hotel staff. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, but you will need to reserve to get a spot. A lot of shops closed by 8 pm so book dinner at the hotel if it's available. We didn't stay long enough to enjoy the onsen at other hotels so will definitely return to try other onsens next trip. The shower room was super clean for an older hotel. Looks brand new!"

"The property is at a very convenient location where we can easily walk to the department store and super market across the street. The condition of the hotel is very new, and they provide a microwave and free tea and coffee at the community area for everyone to use."

"We did not opt for the meal package so it’s possible we missed out on an amazing experience there but we did not miss out on the top level experience of the Kitanoya. Full Japanese ryokan room with the most luxurious 2 person open air granite ofuro I have ever seen let alone enjoyed with a delightful garden beyond. We chose this place to unwind from the crowds of Kyoto and we could not have made a better choice. Service was impecable. Can I give it a 6?
