Amazing Experience!
This property was stunning with a great view of the mountains and a lot of lush trees that blocked the view of other houses and the beautiful acacia running right through the back yard. The overall impression given by the property was an isolated mountainside house. The inside was beautifully decorated and comfortable and the neighbors were incredibly kind and talkative. Any problems were quickly and effectively addressed by the property manager which made our stay even more pleasant.

Beautiful views, nice layout
Casa Bella is a lovely spot. Our family of 5, avid skiers, enjoyed our location right around the corner from charming Arroyo Seco, easy drive to Taos Ski Valley and easy drive to Taos. Our property manager was terrific and the house is comfortable and well laid out. Thank you!!

Excellent family retreat!
My parents (70s), brother and I (50s) stayed here for a week. The house was perfect for us and provided the right amount of space for being together and yet not being on top of each other. The back patio was PERFECT and we enjoyed meals out there, taking turns napping in the hammock, listening to the creek, and viewing the stars from the hot tub each night. A really peaceful and restful week. Thank you!

Peaceful stay in beautiful Seco
The photos don’t do this property justice. It is quiet, peaceful and a breath of fresh air. The stars at night couldn’t be beat. The property easy to find especially in Northern NM and equipped with many items especially the kitchen. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space for many. Kristi was very responsive and kind throughout the process As a former Taos resident, it felt like a bit of home. We hope to be back soon!!

Great location!
We have stayed at this home many times and always enjoy it. Kristi, the property caretaker, was wonderful and so easy to work with. We always spend lots of time on the huge back deck listening to the water in the acequia and enjoying the view . We’ll be back.

Very disappointed
Not sure where to start... I guess I will start by saying that I should have paid attention to a negative feedback I read before I booked this property, the first thing I said when we got to the property is “they were right”. The day we arrived to the property, we started unpacking and getting to choose rooms, we noticed that there were not hot water, so I went myself to the utility room to see if it was something I could have fixed, so I opened the door and noticed that the water heater needed some maintenance, I kept looking and saw 2 death mice on the floor. I contacted the care taker and informed ONLY about the hot water problem. With that being said, we had to wait until next morning for the technician to fix it. We got to the point where we picked our rooms, and all family members agreed that the property was filthy, and the room that I stayed in, the furniture was dusty, found several mouse drops in 2 corners, found several hair on the pillows and blankets. We had to wash blankets, and clear everybody’s room as we could. Following day, we started preparing everything to cook out and again, we noticed that the light bulb over the BBQ pit didn’t work. We replaced the light but, and still didn’t work. So we had to cook out using or cell phone little flashlight. In general, the property is nice, is just the conditions is in, again, it looks like the last time they cleaned the place was months ago and I feel that the caretaker needs to make sure everything works as it should before renting the property out. The disappointing part is, that instead of having a relaxing time, we had to spent some time cleaning and trying to fix things.

Lovely area, filthy home.
This was by far the filthiest place I have stayed in my 53 years. We would have left had we been able to find a place to accommodate all of our family on such short notice. We were welcomed by a dead mouse in one bedroom, rodent droppings throughout the home, a ton of dead bugs all over the entry rug, live ones streaming in every morning from the front door that you can see daylight through, so they had very easy access to the home. While I know mice get into homes, it was apparent no one had checked or cleaned hardly at all before our arrival. I doubt the mouse died and messed throughout the house in the minutes before our arrival. I have stayed at mountain homes much more rural than this and have never been greeted with the amount of dirt, bugs, and never, ever, rodent droppings all over. We were much more concerned with catching hantavirus during the stay than coronavirus. Toilets and sinks in the bathrooms were clean though, I will give them that. If the place was vacuumed prior to our arrival, it was just partially, and not well at all. Not only did the baseboards have rodent droppings all along them, there was animal hair on carpeting (we did not bring a pet so it wasn't ours) areas between beds and nightstands and basically all over the house were beyond filthy. It was obvious there had been no thorough cleaning for a very long time. It had the feel and look of a home that has sat vacant for a long time. Cobwebs, huge spider webs in master bath and another bedroom, filthy range with what appeared to be dried spaghetti sauce or something on it, we had to completely scrub it before we would use it. Filthy, stained shower curtain liner in one bathroom in the master bedroom, which would be an easy $10 fix to pick up a new liner at Target. Most of the towels provided were old and had torn and shredded sides. Again, an easy thing to replace at low cost. The only positive is the home sits on a lovely lot with a beautiful outdoor area, which saved us. We spent every waking moment outdoors so we didn't have to go into the house. Incredibly disappointing vacation rental, especially for the amount of money we paid.

Another great Taos property
Finished our yearly ski trip to Taos, and this is probably our favorite property. We've stayed in a couple on the same street in Arroyo Seco. Really like the convenient location. Property is great. Tons of room, kitchen recently remodeled. Only quirk is that the master has two full bathrooms in it. One (probably the original) is just as you enter the master bedroom. The 2nd is a large suite (including massage room/table!), double shower, etc. that's at the other end of the bedroom. Probably added later. So someone does have to come into the room to access the bathroom if it's being shared.
