If you are looking for quiet beautiful sunsets on a private setting, yet still being close to the bustle of the beach, this is it! Our spot creates relaxed romance from dawn to dusk where entertaining is easy, comfort reigns supreme and natural beauty is the essence of style. Our location in Arroyo Grande puts you within 2 minutes of the Cypress Ridge Golf Course, 5 minutes to wineries and the historic Village of Arroyo Grande, and 7-10 minutes to Pismo and Avila Beaches. The Central Coast rivals the Napa Valley featuring more than 200 wineries and vineyards in the region. On almost any given weekend one can find activities such as wine tastings and festivals, biking events, and fares of all types.

This property is ideal for small family reunions, receptions, get-togethers, corporate executive retreats, and for those wine enthusiasts interested in sharing the cost of a beautiful home and property by bringing a group of 3-4 couples, several families or a group of friends.

We are a unique property with a flock of chickens known as 'The Zen Hen Hut' birds, bunnies, miniature horse, ducks, and a sweet goat. This 2,600+ square foot family owned retreat, is a two-story home that has 3 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, a very open & large kitchen, and family and dining area. The game room with pool table, bar, large couch and games lets you enjoy your stay while having fun things to do with your family and group. The home is situated on 5 acres with generous room to relax and enjoy!

The Master Suite features a Balinese hand carved four poster (king) bed with luxurious bedding including 500 thread count sheets, chenille blanket and oh so comfy pillows. It also has a cozy sitting area for reading or watching TV on the large flatscreen. The bath with this bedroom includes a dual vanity, travertine floor, a walk-in custom travertine shower and a bay window with a bench seat that allows guests to lounge in serenity!

The second large bedroom is equipped with a sleigh (king) bed with silky sheets, chenille blanket and velvet duvet . This bedroom whispers romance with red walls, and sitting area offering a flat screen TV.

The third bedroom highlights a queen bed and also has a built-in desk. Enjoy the second bath amenities including travertine floors, glass tile counters, dual vanity and then ultimately relax and unwind!

The library has a cozy daybed and can accommodate 2 for sleeping, as well as the ADDITIONAL DAYBED IN THE GAME ROOM

The game room is equipped with a full size pool table, bar and popcorn cart. The floors are stained concrete and offer a comfy couch with more games for kids and adults alike. This large room also allows a queen size bed that can be brought in very easily for more sleeping accommodations.

The dining and living area is open and airy with a large dining table, a long bar and a cozy bistro nook area (seats 13 all together). Relax and conversate in the main living area that boasts a flat screen TV, overstuffed chenille couch and gas log fireplace. The home includes all linens, blankets, deluxe coffee maker, cooking and utensils, and beach towels. There is a fenced yard and we do accept pets (see the pet fees on prices page). We can accommodate up to 11.

Wonderful family get-together at Zen Farms!
We had a such a fun family reunion at Zen Farms! It was easy to coordinate and a big property so everyone had room to relax. The house had plenty of room with a pool table, large kitchen for cooking and an outside bbq. The backyard allowed us to set up our cornhole and the kids could run around. Peri was awesome and checked our schedule to make sure the kids could feed the animals with her (which they loved). We will definitely be back next year!

Amazing Farm House
Fun and clean spacious family farm house! Peri was an amazing host! Responded right away and was amazing with the kiddos. She let us know when the feeding time was for the animals which the kids looked forward to everyday to help feed and interact with them. Bedrooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Beautiful showers and tub! Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to cook. We were here for the weekend for my moms birthday and would def be back. This is def the place for a family vaca. Close to oceano beach ( sand dunes), Pismo beach and San Luis Obispo

Perfect house
Perfect house for families. House is extremely spacious and entertaining. Farm animals are awesome for the kids and the house is nicely tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. Hosts are very nice and the house is conveniently next to an awesome golf course. 5 star.

Great place to stay
What a wonderful place to stay! The house was exquisite and fun. All our needs were met. The hosts were exceptional. We cannot say enough about the patience and gentleness in which Peri showed our grandchildren (and us) when letting them feed and pet the animals. Highly recommend this place.

Incredible experience!
My family absolutely loved staying at Zen farms! The highlight was seeing my children, ages 6 and 8, helping out with morning feedings of the animals. The host, Perri, was so kind and sweet with the kids, helping them feel involved. This was a trip my kids will never forget! Beautiful and relaxing stay!

Central Coast Grande -- Wonderful getaway
This house is exactly as advertised, with open-yet-comfortable shared spaces, peaceful views, and spacious rooms. Simply a great place for a group to come together for a few days to go to the beach, to go bicycling, golfing, enjoy wineries, or fine eateries (all of which we did!). Thanks to Peri and Jeff who made us feel at home and like pampered guests at the same time.

Absolutely Amazing!!!
We LOVED our stay here! The house was absolutely gorgeous, perfectly luxurious while being super cozy and comfortable, and included everything we needed for our 2 families with kids. Peri was so sweet and welcoming, and our kids had such a wonderful time feeding and caring for the animals on the farm alongside our most awesome host. We wished we could’ve stayed longer. By the end of our stay, our 4-year-old stated, “This farmhouse is waaay better than LEGOLAND!”

Arroyo grande house
What a fun place to stay! Big enough for the whole family. Beautiful setting with a mini Orchard, the little farm was a big hit with my five and nine-year-old nieces. The pool room was great. We enjoyed that as well lots of common spaces for socializing and a short walk from our families home in Cypress Ridge. The hosts were amazing, making time to show the kids the animals and we enjoyed socializing in the evening. Can’t recommend this house enough. Probably shouldn’t have written this review cause we might get booked over in the future…

Great place, perfect for families, kids!
We had a wonderful weekend here with our 1 1/2 year old and extended family! Very kid friendly house (our daughter couldn't stop talking about how comfortable the couch was, loved that there were some toys and kids books, relatively child-proofed). Our daughter (and everyone!) loved the farm animals--really a hit! Farm fresh eggs were a great breakfast treat! House is in great condition. Very nice outdoor areas. We would love to have a return trip next year!

The BEST family reunion EVER!
This was a fantastic location for our family reunion! The owner spent hours with the children (age 3-6 years), teaching them about the animals and giving the girls hands-on experience caring for them. The property owner kept in touch via text, letting us know when she would be out with the animals so that we could be sure the girls were around to "help out". It is a beautiful, large home with multiple areas for groups to gather - indoors and out. The kitchen was great for preparing meals for our large group. Parking was just outside the door. Overall, a fantastic location!

FABULOUS!
We were traveling to the SLO area for a wedding and needed a house for 2 families. This house was perfect!! Peri could not have been more accommodating!! Everything was wonderful!!! Fresh flowers!!! The farm and animals were so fun!!! My only complaint would be that we did not have more time!!!!! Absolutely wonderful!!!

Family Fun
We enjoyed a weekend at the Zen Farm with three families (6 adults, 5kids, ages 2-9 and 1 pup) The kids absolutely loved the farm. Peri was sure to message me each morning and evening because she knew the kids were eager to help tend to the animals. We had space for everyone. There are 3 twin beds down stairs in the game room, but we ended up putting mattresses on the floor in each of the upstairs bedrooms for the kids, as we wanted the kids to go to bed before the adults. We hole to come back and stay at the farm!

Memorable Memorial Day Weekend
What a wonderful farm this is. The beautiful house is comfortable and spacious. We were happy to see that each bedroom upstairs was large enough to fit a pack n play and one had room for a twin mattress as well. The kitchen is well-equipped and stocked and there are plenty of eating areas inside and out. Peri is a wonderful host and kept in touch daily to let us know when the animals would be fed. She knows her animals well and our grandchildren loved feeding and grooming them. They also enjoyed the swing in the big front yard tree and getting rides in the wagon. We highly recommend Zen Farms for a SLO coast getaway.

Wonderful experience
We stayed at this property in April of 2013 and had a great time. The house is large, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Our kids loved being able to feed the animals. Peri and Jeff were very welcoming and went above and beyond in helping make our stay comfortable and memorable. Jeff even helped us when we had some car trouble and got us connected with a mechanic friend of his who was able to get us back on the road and to the beach! Some of the kids loved the house so much they were very reluctant to leave! Thank you Peri and Jeff for doing so much to help make our trip memorable.

Awesome Place!
What an amazing place!! The pictures do not do it justice. We traveled with another family and had 8 people total including 4 kids (1-4 yrs). The house was beautifully decorated and had ample room for all of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The animals were a huge hit with the kids (and adults!). The kids loved picking the chickens eggs everyday and feeding the goats. Peri & Jeff were great! Super friendly and went out of their way to make it a 5 star experience for us!! Thanks again and we look forward to coming back!!

Exceeded our expectations!
We had a great time at this property in Arroyo Grande. An easy drive to the beach, golf, and some nice local dining establishments. The owners have done an amazing job updating the home and it is very nicely furnished, definitely lives up to the pics and more. Huge living area, perfect for family gatherings with a large updated kitchen. The farm was a real selling point for us and it exceeded our expectations. Perfect for young kids (we brought three of them) and it was great to have the owners living on the property to show us around. We brought two families with five adults / three kids and we still had room to spare. Overall, we had a great experience and we WILL be back--we may even make this an annual family trip!

Perfect for our family
Our family ranging in age from 7 to 81 stayed at this property. The house accomodated all of us and gave us places to be together or apart as desired. The pool table in the game room was a favorite as was the two eating spaces for us to gather to eat and play games. There was lots of outside space to sit and eat, read or just enjoy the view of her 5 acre property. The beach was about five minutes away. Peri was very accomodating and communicative. She provided my young grandsons with the opportunity to pet and feed her animals and supplied us with fresh eggs from her chickens for an affordable price. All and all it was a perfect place for our family get together and I would definitely recommend the property.

Home away from Home
I cannot say enough about Peri and the beautiful home in this listing. The house is stocked with every convenience you could possibly want. Peri was a gracious host, and responded quickly to our requests. The farm is just charming, and although we had rain every day we stayed, Peri gave us a tour of the home when we arrived (the only sunny day), and treated us to some fresh eggs on one morning of our stay. My only problem was the inability to adjust the temperature of the home during our stay, (but to be fair, we did not ask that the temperature be changed) considering it was colder than expected. I would definitely recommend this VRBO rental to others, and would stay again with my family.

Great Get a Way!
We had a quick weekend away for the family and the location was perfect. The host, Peri, was extremely accommodating and worked to make it a great weekend for us. The house and property is set up perfect for a large family of all ages. Considering that the property sits on a farm, we were surprised at how clean it was...the true test was the baby crawling on the floor and still having clean clothes! Peri was so great with the kids and let them feed the animals and spent the time to teach the kids about the animals as well. The downstairs seems to be designed for a large group with lots of open space and large game room. The kitchen is very well stocked and there wasn't a single appliance that we couldn't find. It is so nice not have to bring basic things with you. There is a fruit stand just a few minutes away with lots of great fruit which we picked up on the way. We would recommend this property and add it to the list for a future visit.

Absolutely STUNNING!
From the moment I stepped through the door, I felt my self instantly relax. It is beautifully remodeled and the decor just makes you feel like you are truly in a home away from home. I was traveling with a magazine for a photoshoot and while someone else had initially booked the home for us, I was instantly impressed at how clean and quiet it was. The owners of the home are also SO gracious and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and things were right for us in our rental. I would HIGHLY recommend this home if you are able to get up to Pismo Beach. Perfect for a small group of people with 3 bedrooms that are immaculate. Or even for a family trip :) I will DEFINITELY be going back. Thank you for a wonderful few days.

Best Farm Stay Ever!!!
Our family, 4 adults, three teenage boys, and two dogs had three incredible days at Peri's farm. She is a hostess extraordinaire and her animals are sweet and adorable. We spent a good amount of "happy time" with Peri and the animals every day of our stay. The house is luxurious while being very comfortable, which made all of us truly feel at home here. The kitchen is completely equipped with all the cooking tools you need.. Bonus... you don't need to bring your own sharp knives! Groceries are close by for anything you have forgotten. Between the animals and the pool table our boys rated this farm stay their best vacation house ever! We all agree and we will definitely return. Thank you so much Peri and Jeff.

Perfect Family Vacation Home
This vacation home was one of the best one we have stayed at. The pictures do not do it justice. Such a beautiful home will amazing comfort. Very clean and just amazing views. Close to everything you want to do. The Arroyo Grande town is just beautiful and for you golfers out there the golf course was amazing. Would highly reccoment Hearst Castle. The beaches were breathtaking. We had 9 adullts and 4 children and one dog, there was so much space in the home that we were all very comfortable. Peri (the owner) was such a blessing to our family. Always accomdating and helpful in every way. She has such a beautiful berry garden. Thank you Peri for the wonderful basket that you prepared for us. Would recommend this vacation home to everyone. We truly enjoyed our visit to the Beautiful Central Coast.
