An absolutely excellent stay!
Perfect cabin hideaway. Hot tub was spotless, everything except the oven was very easy to use, instructions were everywhere. Great view off the patio, fire pit was very fun. Will definitely recommend this property to others!

Overall - OK
The cabin was super cute and so is Arnold and the surrounding area, but the hot tub had a leak and was rendered pretty much unuseable.

Relaxing getaway
I booked this cabin for my husband’s birthday and mini vaca before he started a new job. We wanted to RELAX with our dog and enjoy the fresh air. This is exactly how our time was spent. Disconnected from our everyday life’s and enjoyed the property and the quietness. We would definitely stay here again.

Frustration Under the Trees
Upon arrival I was flabbergasted by the difference of seeing the rental in person compared to online....and not in a good way. Listing on here nade it seem whimsical, in person it was anything but. Pictures seemed to be older, but better.

Just what we needed
This was a cozy, clean, well-stocked facility. The kitchen was really user friendly. I didn't see wood for the fireplace, but we didn't use it. I read a few reviews that said the hot tub didn't work (it did for us), or that it wasn't clean (it was for us.) The parking looks like it would be a challenge in the snow, but it just took a little time to make the hard turn onto the property. There was plenty of room. (One note -- my car had sap dripped on it in the morning. It came off easily with a car wash, but just be aware.)

Relaxing in the woods Under the Trees
My husband, uncle and I were fortunate enough to be able to get away for a few days from the hustle and bustle of the ciry we live in. This cabin was awesome. Just what we needed. We mostly just hung out inside and relaxed. There is a hot tub which was most welcome. Really wonderful to experience, out in the cold and under a sky where you can actually see the stars! No light pollution here. We loved our stay and were in agreement that we wanted to live there. But alas, check out day came. Anyways, we highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing retreat. There is much to explore in the area, but it’s also amazing just to stay curled up on the couch inside. Oh ya, and the kitchen was great. We didn’t have to spend on eating out. Just a very cozy, comfortable experience. We will hopefully be able to do it again some day!

Unfortunately disappointed
We chose this rental because of the hot tub. The hot tub did not work and when we finally figured out the way to heat it up, it didn’t get above 80 until the last day of our vacation. So we never got to use it. The TV system did not work, and the upstairs where you sleep was freezing. We had to search for blankets and space heaters. The parking permit that was supposed to be on the fridge was not there. We made the best of it cuz we were on vacation but considering the price we paid to have the hot tub i was bummed. It’sa cute house but we were bummed to have spent the amount we did and not get the things we were looking forward to.

Nice cabin, plenty of amenities, missed on the simple stuff
The cabin was full of thousands of dead and dying ants. There was no extra toilet paper or paper towels, and no guest binder to tell us where everything was. Oh, and about 5 different light bulbs were burnt out with no replacements available. Could have been a great trip but it lacked some common sense features.

Ant infestation
The house is amazing but the house has an ant infestation (July 21) that has to be solved before the next clients arrive. Also the outdoor areas had not been cleaned for weeks and the hot tub was half capacity (we had to refill it ourselves). With the amount of mi ey we paid (more than 300usd per night) these problems should have not existed.

Great location
Pros Excellent location – quiet, surrounded by trees, great hiking, swimming, and towns a short distance away Lots of outdoor space including two decks, one right outside the kitchen, another a short distance from the cabin. Kitchen well stocked with cooking supplies, look in multiple locations for pots and pans, including the inside of the oven. Comfortably accommodates 4-5 adults A large bin of maps and other local information was helpful. The WiFi covers a wide area and was very reliable. The hot tub comfortably fits four adults, though it wouldn’t heat over 99 o Cons The driveway is challenging, but you can park along the road and walk down a short staircase. The interior is very dark, only the kitchen and bathroom have sufficient lighting. The cabin does not cool off much at night, leaving the upstairs warm and stuffy in the summer. One of the beds upstairs is much higher than usual, a step stool would be helpful. The stairs down to the third bedroom and laundry area are steep with poor visibility. Downstairs bedroom has no closet or dresser to put one’s belongings Downstairs bathroom has no shower, only a tub with a shower hose Some basic supplies in short supply – toilet paper, dish soap, coffee filters The mini-dishwasher is too small to be of any real use and it takes up precious counter space.

Very nice!
We had a wonderful time at the cabin Under the Trees. This place is in a great location with ample space to explore and play right outside, and MANY wonderful amenities with games (mini and jumbo Jenga!), swings, multiple places to lounge outside, and every electronic gadget you could think of, fast internet, and a great TV/stereo setup. We did encounter some stumbling blocks though: we could not locate the house instruction binder anywhere; 3 outlets in one bedroom upstairs did not have power; the hot tub was dirty and we had to call for maintenance; and a minor thing, but there was no laundry detergent so we could not get a towel load going when we checked out; there were covers and odds and ends wadded up behind beds and furniture, and the decks really were in need of a general sweep and cleaning -- seemed pretty neglected. Also keep in mind that there is no A/C, and on a hot weekend like ours, you'll spend a bit of effort managing the house temp manually. There is only one ceiling fan in the house. All in all, a great time was had despite some hiccups in services we've come to expect from vacation rentals. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us! Emma

Cute, private cabin
Cute, private cabin. Met most of our needs. There is plenty to do in the area and even if you stay there. Positives: gas fire pit was awesome to sit around at night, fire wood was provided still. Great, relaxing living room. Kitchen does the job. Negatives: there was no coffee pot, just espresso machine and French press. It did the job, just took awhile. Also, there were outlets that did not work in the bedrooms and we could not find the guest binder. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend there.

Could have been perfect if bot for issues
Ok so this property was listed as having a hot tub, a wood fired stove, a BBQ, and an outdoor propane fire-pit. These are the reasons we booked it. However, none of these things worked properly. - the hot tub needs maintenance. It will not maintain an appropriate temperature. Though it does get hot when the lid is on it, it rapidly loses heat after getting in. The heater is in need of repair - The BBQ would not get hot enough to cook a steak at all (no sear, nothing). This is even after I switched out the propane tank with a full one that was nearby. This grill looks pretty neglected and gross, it might be time to buy a new one. - The small propane fire pit needs maintenance and would not stay lit. - the wood stove in the living room has some kind of ventilation issue. When I started a fire *none* of the smoke went up the chimney and it poured out from cracks between the stove doors. I had to put the fire out and open all the windows. I would like to note that I grew up with a wood stove, and have a propane grill, these issues are not because I don’t know how to use these appliances. This list of issues were sent to the property manager when I was there but no action was taken

Perfect place for a getaway! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to visit this lovely place. The only hiccup was that the hot tub (jacuzzi) was really dirty and was only half-filled. It is truly a magical place there! Thank you for being so accommodating!

Cozy cabin under the trees
The cabin is a nice little cabin under the trees with a spa located close to the driveway and a sitting area not too far from the spa and house. Its a quiet little get away place. Only things wrong were the lighting isn't bright in the cabin and the towels for the kitchen and bathroom are limited. I would have liked more lighting through the cabin and more towels. Over all it is a nice time away from the hustle and bustle of the daily life. The cabin is also like someone lives there when not rented out. There are things there that are for personal use.

Great Stay Overall
We stayed at this listing for 3 nights. The cabin is clean and spacious. The hot tub is located close to the cabin but still surrounded with trees. Overall we had a great time and will recommend this place to friends, and will definitely come back.
