Perfect place to watch the stars from, even if you have to hide behind the little church to get away from the hotel lights - it would be nice if they turned off their outside lights when the aurora is on display. Good vegan options in the restaurant, but would be nice to have more options at breakfast."

"The location of the hotel is located the north west corner of the Peninsula, you can see a mega sky that you may be never saw before. The servicer is friendly, I would like to recommend this property to everyone."

"My spouse and I booked the Fosshotel Hellnar as a stop on our Iceland road trip. It ended up being the perfect location to stop after 1 day travel from Reykjavik and partway around the Snaefellsnes peninsula. We were cold and tired by that point and the Fosshotel was so comfortable on our arrival. The fireplace in the lobby was very inviting. The room was spacious, comfortable and the heated bathroom floor tiles were such an appreciated luxury to us that day. We enjoyed dinner at the hotel restaurant as well as their breakfast buffet. All of the food was delicious. The prices were shocking to us in Canadian dollars but we got used to that in Iceland after a while. For the large portions and great quality, the prices were comparatively fair. The hotel didn't have some of the amenities that we had in other stays during our trip but the location was beautiful. We had a gorgeous view of the glacier from our room before rain and fog settled in low for the evening. "
