"Overall a reasonable hotel. Dinner and breakfast were totally acceptable, particularly the dinner (both quality and price). I slept well, although the other two persons with me said the beds were hard."

"The hotel in general was nice. However there were 10-15 kids hanging out in the lobby and front door. Seemed like a school was being held there. It was very unusual. Also, parking was impossible. None existed. If it wasn’t for the kindness of a local gentleman I do not know what we would have done. If you are not driving that’s a different story. Restaurants in the area were awesome especially II Meggesse. "

"The story of this amazing home goes back to the 1500. Many beautiful details at the same time sad to see the grounds are not looked after. Even winter grounds could be magnificent with proper care. The building itself needs lots of maintenance and the rooms need some updating, but the experience was great. We met beautiful people and that was priceless. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk staff were extremely nice. Happy New Year, Happy 2025"

"We were very pleased with the hotel. Rooms are spacious and private - each room has a private entrance in a "condo/townhome" type of setting. Our room was large with a balcony and french doors in the bedroom and bathroom. Nespresso machine with coffee pods in the room too. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the service impeccable. The hotel also has top notch restaurant if you don't feel like driving to town one night."

"Lovely hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff. Shuttle picked us up at the train staion which was easy and very helpful. Staff did their best to communicate with using English which was appreciated! The room was lovely, large, clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant was excellent! Best wine ever!"

"We had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay at this hotel. Staff were helpful and spoke English. The pool was an added bonus and the location was perfect for us to attend a concert at Alba Fucens' amphitheatre! The only slight negative was that the water pressure in the shower was not stable so it was fine one minute then it surged and was too hot. The only reason I gave it a 4* for the property facilities. Otherwise we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to friends."

"The property was exactly what we needed. Early morning watercolor painting on the patio, winding country roads to take us to small towns in the area, a well equipped kitchen and fresh herbs from the garden for making dinner. The owner was quick to respond to any inquiries. Idyllic property for a taste of country living."

"Remote, fantastic scenery, great time had by all. Local restaurants friendly and the food, amazing. Tom was attentive to our questions and the farmhouse exactly as described. Would recommend to anyone looking for something different and unique."

"Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely gentleman ! The hotel has lots of parking and is surrounded by incredible views. Our host chatted to us and gave us everything we needed and recommended some incredible things to do. Our room was very clean and comfy with a small balcony that was quiet and peaceful, the bathroom had a bath with shower attachment and everything you would need to have a comfortable stay ! "This hotel is a memorable trip back in time. Sextantio purchased and renovated 30 rooms in the village, each one with a different character, charm, and challenge. The rooms were restored with basic amenities, but it is easy to imagine the simple life people lived centuries ago. The atmosphere is reinforced with candlelight and fireplaces. "This place is so special! Absolutely beautiful location, the staff is so sweet, breakfast is great with a mountain view. The rooms feel so special. This is a hidden gem and there's no way it can stay a secret for long. Note, though, that you *definitely* need to have your own car if you're staying here. It's very remote and there are no restaurants in the town currently (at least while we were staying there). Totally worth it but just something to know."
