"This is a stunningly beautiful property set in many acres of land, an estate planted with olive and almond trees together with vineyards. A series of one story buildings in the estate house the rooms/suites. A central building (pictured) houses the reception, a dining room and an area by the pool. Separately in the grounds there’s a lovely al fresco dining area for evenings. It’s situated in the countryside and is about a 20 minute drive to the city of Noto. "

"We stayed 5 nights at Tenuta Olive Alive and loved it! We used Noto as a bounce off point to visit several towns in the area (Siracusa-Ortigia, Modica, Ragusa Ibla etc). A short drive into Noto itself. Fantastic accom, took advantage of the rain outdoor spaces for some meals, made good use of the pool. Our host, Italo was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating. He cooked for us one night - which was sensational. We are a family of four, incl two younger children. They loved the loft style...

"place okay. Bit early in season. Everything at the accommodation closed at 7pm. Didn’t open again until breakfast at 0730am. Nowhere else to hang as main reception area closed at 1930so confined to pokey room or outside in cold. We were offered a bigger better room at an extra 20e a night on check in which came over as ours was bit rubbish! -which it was ! It was a 15 min drive to Avola on a dodgy road. "Food was excellent and beautifully presented. Most of the ingredients were from the farm. The dinners more than met expectations. Each evening meal was delicious, and no dish was repeated during our 3 night stay. From the appetizers to the limoncello, all was wonderful. Everything was served with a friendly smile and explanation. One of us is vegetarian and they happily accommodated. "The accommodation is perfect. Every bedroom is a good size, each has a TV with Netflix, and all proper double beds. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, and the welcome package contained really useful and sensible things like spaghetti and passatta, wine amongst other things. Definitely the most thought through and generous welcome hamper/ package I have experienced. The living area is perfect, with a big table, comfy couch and TV with PS4 which has decent games with it if the kids need down time....
