"The bungalows are gorgeous! You’re in a secluded, wooded area with beautiful landscaping and lights. The sloth trail is cute. The hot tub (private) was heaven and the staff are very friendly. Very private setting. The coconut (alcohol free) beverage upon arrival is delicious!! If we ever go back to the La Fortuna area we will definitely stay again! "

"Beautiful surroundings with a good view of the Volcano, the hotel is very clean with comfortable rooms and a lovely spacious bathroom and shower, a nice pool area, great breakfast with three options to choose from. All the staff were very friendly but Wdilvis and Fabricio who manned the desk were extremely helpful and very friendly at all times, a special thanks to Wdilvia for organizing our trips, especially the Baldi hot springs, they were wonderful, I would highly recommend this little jewel...

"Monte Real is a pleasant little compound that offers rest amid the touristy hub of La Fortuna. The breakfast is good - and, like us, you'll probably see a sloth in the branches above if you look carefully enough - and the rooms are pleasant. The pool and frog garden offer diversions if you are tired of all the driving. A good place."

"As a solo traveller it’s important to me that I have somewhere to sit in the evening with an outlook. The terrace at the front of the hotel is ideal. Somewhere to sit with a beer and watch the world go by. Staff were very helpful and pleasant ensuring my stay was good. You do need earplugs for early morning motorbikes going to work."

"this property was really walkable to all the good restaurants/ coffee shops. also I was traveling solo as a female and Marcos, Vanessa and the rest of the crew were so helpful anytime I needed anything. I felt very safe walking to the property and had no issues getting a taxi if I needed one at any time of the day. "

Family Experience in Paradise

"We were warmly welcomed and treated with utmost courtesy and professionalism in this unique and beautiful resort. We were a family of 4 and stayed for 3 nights in Feb 2025. The resort was like a garden itself, very cozy and homely and also very safe and secure. This is the best place to stay, where downtown and even many tourist activities are only 1km away. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Management is super nice and helpful. They scheduled all our tours and even our daughter received a surprise birthday present for her birthday! Breakfast is really good with local specialties that my entire family loved. Would really recommend for all to stay here!"

"The staff is very friendly and the location is beautiful. The breakfast is buffet style and the quality is excellent ( fresh fruit and fruit juices, eggs that can be made to order, waffles, pancakes , baked goods etc) . The rooms were clean and the bathroom was very spacious. 10/10"
