"Our weeks stay at the Herdsman’s House a few kms from downtown Sligo was magical. The accommodations were as advertised, impeccably clean, spacious and cozy at the same time. Spectacular views of Sligo Bay and the surrounding farmland. Sheep and cows in pasture surround the Herdsman’s House. Des and Mary made us feel like family, with great tips on places to visit, and what Ireland’s northwest has to offer. They also gave us a bit of the history of the community they cherish. "The house exceeded our expectations! We stayed over the Christmas holidays and the house was beautifully decorated for the season. Everywhere we looked there were sweet Christmas touches. The beds were very comfy and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. "Ballydevitt Retreat is a comfortable home away from home in a great location. It is removed from the business of the town but an easy walk to the town Diamond. The home is spacious and comfortable. Paula, the host, communicates very quickly and is excellent at making sure guests have all their questions answered. I highly recommend this as a place to stay while exploring County Donegal."

"The house has plenty of room with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, which makes for quick showers for everyone in the morning. The kitchen is nicely equipped and everything including the wash machine worked well. The town has a nice market just three doors down and is minutes from Donegal and other sites like Sliebh League cliffs. The rooms were comfy and quiet and our hosts were attentive and gracious. "Great family stay, a little dated but overall very nice. Rooms were comfortable and apartment was very spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Some nice trails nearby and stunning views. Close by to Sligo and other areas, plus regular bus if you want to leave the car"
