Spacious cottage with great views
We had a lovely fortnight at Lark Cottage. The property itself is very clean and and catches the summer sun through its large windows. The view is enchanting and there's a suntrap for sitting out at the front overlooking the colourful border flowers. We often strolled down to the beach in the evenings through the golf course and walked along the expansive sands (check the tide times first!) Look out for the lovely Brown Irish Hares in the back garden on early mornings. Perhaps the only downside was the building work nearby but it wasn't too distracting. Overall, a great vacation.

A great place to stay along the Wild Atlantic Way! A true Irish experience!
We arrived in the middle of an Atlantic gale (25-40mph winds; driving rain; and low 40s F), but the cottage provided an extremely comfortable port in the storm. The weather cleared and the vistas from the cottage were fascinating. The cottage sits on a peninsular jutting into th Atlantic and is approximately 250 yards from the Tralee Links Golf Course which was designed by Arnold Palmer. The club house provides an opportunity for a full Irish breakfast and amazing views of the course and Atlantic coast. The cottage has a large kitchen with all the necessary appliances and kitchen ware which we used for most breakfasts and lunches. The master bedroom is quite large with a two stuffed chair sitting area. The en-suite bathroom was a bit small but functional. The highlight of the cottage is the large sitting room with leather sofas, a lovely fireplace and large picture windows. A very cozy place to while away the day. The cottage is quite remote so eating out became an evening event, but with a little effort wonderful seafood and Irish meals are available. Finally, we can not say enough about the cottage owner. Kieran was readily available to answer any question. He made our stay the best! Shawn & Rodney from Tampa, Florida

Wonderful vacation!
We rented Kieran's home in Barrow Ireland for two weeks in October 2018. His home was lovely and furnished with everything we needed....neat, clean, adorable. We were right near the Tralee Golf Links and enjoyed meals with a beautiful views...and we are not golfers. You can enjoy the restaurant without golfing. The home itself had beautiful views of Tralee Bay. It was exactly what we wanted...relaxing vacation with lots of beautiful southwest Ireland to go and see if you choose. Highly recommend this home.

Lovely Irish Cottage
In Ireland for a family reunion and stayed at Lark Cottage. We are so glad we did. The house is nicely appointed. It had everything we could have wanted. The views...OMG!!! So beautiful. Incredible scenery out of very window. Since we were in for a reunion, we spent a lot of time in the Fenit area but it was also a five minute walk to the Tralee Golf Club. We didn't golf there but had a couple of meals which were very good. There is also a trail down to the beach through the golf course. We did this walk several times and usually only shared the massive beach with one or two others. Thanks so much to Kieran. He was very responsive to any questions that we had. We would definitely stay again..

Awesome Cottage - comfortable, well equipped, convenient; wonderful hosts
We picked Lark Cottage because of the views and location, but got much more than we anticipated. “Close to golf & beach” means 3 minute walk to Tralee golf course; beach access is through the golf course! Views out the front window are across Tralee Bay to Dingle Penninsula and to Ardfert and beyond out the back. Interesting restaurants, each with different personalities, are within 10-15 minute drive. Activities are boundless, including hiking, horse trekking, horse races in season, and of course golf at Balleyheigue, Castlegregory nearby and others more distant. Lark Cottage is a comfortable place to plan the day’s excursions, relax and share memories at day’s end. Kieran and family have thought of everything from the welcome gift of a bottle of wine and apple tart to games, videos, music, books, and lots of brochures and guide books to all you need in the kitchen, outside in the yard, and in every room in the house. There are throws to snuggle while reading and wi-if to connect as needed. Unfortunately the weather was not good during our visit, but we watched storm Hector come on shore and learned to brave the Irish climate while still doing everything we planned and more. We found driving on the small country roads challenging, and had to add time into all our excursions to allow for getting off course. We decided to drive to Shannon the day before our flight home in order to make an early morning flight without driving at night. Thank you Kieran and family for sharing Lark Cottage with us. We take home many fond memories.

Stunning views - beautiful cottage
I can't say enough about our stay in Tralee! The cottage was beautiful, spacious, and came with stunning views. It was wonderfully located for day trips to Dingle, Cork, Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry and many other attractions and at the end of the day provided a quiet place to relax. Thanks again Kieran and family for letting us your cottage!!

The cottage was remote, clean, had great views and filled all of our needs
It was a pleasure dealing with Keirnan and his wife. They were both polite and very helpful (especially in helping us with golf). The cottage was a perfect fit for our golf and our touring adventures. It had everything one would need and more - whether you were dining at the cottage or just doing breakfast there as we did. The views of Tralee golf course and bay and also of Fenit Harbor and the Dingle Peninsula from the cottage dining area were spectacular !! We would stay there again without hesitation and would recommend it to others.

Lovely cottage with outstanding panoramic views.
Firstly, the owner of this cottage is incredibly approachable and helpful. Pre- booking I had some technology questions and all were answered (wanted to take an Amazon firestick and stream content through that; plus a laptop - both worked well). He also put a brand new dart board on request and apple pie, marmalade, soda bread and wine was a much appreciated welcoming gift. Secondly, the layout of the cottage - very spacious and well laid out. Thirdly and most impressive, are the panoramic views around it, especially from the living room. Every room has several windows and overlook either or all of mountains, water, beaches. We were extremely lucky with the weather and were able to sit outside in the evenings, tired from days out, just feeling ourselves become more and more relaxed, with a nice glass of wine or G&T but mostly due to those views. I could sit and watch the tides go in and out, the clouds roll by and cover and uncover the mountains opposite, all day! My 14yr old really loved the big trampoline in the garden! Beds were really comfy; great ensuite shower room/toilet and family bathroom. Kitchen very well equipped and the golf club a few minutes walk away is worth visiting even just for Guinness and sitting by the window looking out on absolutely astounding views! I must have taken a thousand photos! We had breakfast there one morning and dinner on our final night. Really good!! Cottage is ideally located for days out. Huge amount of tourist information, things to do, where to eat etc, provided in the lobby. If weather is bad, the living room is very well equipped with loads of dvds, cd's and the playroom equally equipped with board games and toys etc. Utility room is also well equipped although as we were only there for a week, we didn't need to use it. I have rented holiday cottages before and you know sometimes you feel when you get there, it doesn't live up to the hype? This one exceeds it. So much so that it has now become our benchmark for future holiday rentals. I'm not sure I'll ever find one that lives us to this idyllic cottage, which really spoilt us! And at such a good price too. Believe me, I've paid a lot more for a lot less. This really is a little piece of heaven and I'm from Scotland so used to beautiful views (and always looking for a bargain)! So quiet at night and lovely sunsets out back, which also has beautiful views. Definitely get down to the secret beach! Absolutely 100% recommend to all.

The house was perfect for our family. The location and views were fabulous. House is fairly well equipped and comfortable. We spent a day and a half very local, enjoying the fresh air, views and also local restaurants. Location was very convenient to explore Dingle and Ring of Kerry.

Lark cottage really does have spectacular views
My brother, niece and I stayed at Lark Cottage, Barrow, Co Kerry, in May 2016 for about 10 days. The cottage is on a peninsula set high on a hill. The scenery is spectacular. Being a smoker I spent a lot of time outside admiring the view from the picnic table in the front of the cottage or the one in back of the cottage. From the front I could look down on the picturesque homes of Fenit Island set in a mountain backdrop, southwest is the lighthouse and due west in the distance (I think) the famous Brandon Mountain. From the back we looked down on the roof of the Tralee golf club house although the course itself is not visible and we could see the farmer’s cows grazing in the field behind us, chickens running around to the east next door and looking north we could see Kerry Head in the distance. At night the silence was a wonder in itself not to mention the full moon drifting eerily through the clouds. As we left there was a sun shower and a rainbow that arched from one horizon to the other. The view from Lark Cottage was surreal and almost a fantasy. Oh and there was an inside to the cottage too. Should I start with the view from the living room? I think I’ve described that. Spectacular! The cottage had everything we needed to cook whatever we wanted (my brother and niece did a bit of that) although every day we took trips to various places in Kerry. The location is an easy drive to anywhere once you get used to the narrow roads in Ireland and driving on the left. We went as far north as Ballybunion (a hilltop castle with stunning cliffs nestling fabulous beaches on either side), east to Dingle (fantastic mountain scenery) and south to Killarney and Kenmare (magnificent lakes and forests). The cottage had tons of amenities tucked away here and there but I was too busy to take advantage of them; enjoying the sights of Kerry by day and uploading my photos by night to show everyone back home. If you every need a place to stay in Kerry, Lark Cottage is ideal. As a final note: one morning I was looking at the cottage’s hedge, the fields below and the grass in front of me and I thought this truly is the Emerald Island and how many different colours of green can there possibly be. I mentioned it to someone later that day and he said, according to Johnny Cash there are Forty Shades of Green. I’m pretty certain I’ll be back again. Thanks Kieran. Gerard Kerry Fitzmaurice

A wonderful stay in a perfect location !!!
We had a wonderful stay on the west coast of Ireland. The house is perfect and met all our expectations. You have a wonderful view of the sea and the location is really idyllic. Tralee is only 10 minutes away by car and if you still want to have a Guinness or a glass of wine in the evening, you can easily do so in the adjacent golf club. Access to the sea is really only a 5 minute walk away and offers a wonderful opportunity for long walks on the beach, both at low and high tide. A word about the house. A big thank you to Kieran and Mary for this great location, the perfect preparation of our stay and the equipment in the house itself. Every morning and during the day, our kids admired the numerous birds in the garden, used the trampoline extensively and kicked around in the garden. In particular, the kitchen equipment is really excellent and we didn't miss anything and also had a barbecue on 4 evenings. Even after our return to Germany, we are still delighted with the vacation and the location and will definitely be back again in the next few years. Mario & family
