Gorgeous Mountain Views-Fenced Yard-Hot Tub-15 Minutes To Downtown Asheville!

This charming house has it all! Unbelievable views, yet only a short distance up the mountain for easy access. Minutes from a multitude of shopping and dining choices in convenient South Asheville, less than 20 minutes from downtown Asheville, 10 minutes from Biltmore Park Mall, 15 minutes from Biltmore Village and the Biltmore Estate. The Rhodie House is situated in a peaceful, well-established community with incredible views and still surrounded by trees and nature lending to the privacy you will feel when staying at this house. For hiking and nature enthusiasts, a 300 acre nature preserve with walking paths is at the top of the mountain less than a mile away. Perfect for families or couples looking to enjoy all the entertainment Asheville has to offer as well as peace, relaxation and inspiring mountain views. Tony and I live 30 minutes north of this house so we are always available to address any questions or issues that may come up.

There is a large, screened in three-season porch with TV, ceiling fans, plenty of seating including an authentic German beer hall table/benches, festive lighting, gas firepit and a bar for entertaining and relaxing and long range mountain views. Additionally, there are two outdoor decks, both with mountain views, one on the lower level and one on the main level. Fully fenced side and front yard with direct access from the house. Central heating and A/C throughout the house. Main level outside deck has a propane grill and a brand new 6-7 person hot tub. The well-equipped kitchen has all modern large appliances: dishwasher, microwave, electric stove/oven, coffee makers (a Keurig AND traditional coffee maker) and basic spices. The rustic farmhouse dining table seats eight comfortably. The living room has a gas fireplace , plenty of comfortable leather seating, a bistro table at which to enjoy your morning coffee and a 55" TV with Netflix.
Just off the living room is the sun room with windows on three sides and more amazing views! The main floor has two bedrooms: the master has a king size bed, 40" flat screen TV and two closets . The 2nd main floor bedroom has two twin beds. The bathroom with double vanity is in the hall leading to the bedrooms. Lower level has large king bedroom with an attached bathroom and 2nd downstairs bedroom with queen bed and sliding door to outside deck. Large family room is downstairs with comfy leather seating as well as a 9' shuffleboard table, board games, large, modern electric fireplace and TV with 50' TV with Netflix. Laundry room has full size washer/dryer.

All bedrooms and living areas have ceiling fans. Only 100% cotton bed and bath linens are provided. Dog friendly (please, no cats), you can bring your canine buddies -up to two for a $75 dog fee. Front and side yard is fully fenced for your convenience and your pup's safety. For those who can’t leave the tech world behind, the cabin has wireless WiFi and cell phone service at the cabin is reliable. Lively, downtown Asheville is less than 20 minutes away and has an abundance of shops and Art Galleries and its restaurants are world famous. Asheville is Beer City USA with over 30 breweries! Sierra Nevada is only minutes from this house.
On the south edge of Asheville, you're minutes from the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway with its many trail heads and spectacular views. Hendersonville Road has multiple restaurants and shops within 5 minutes of the house. Biltmore Park outdoor mall has PF Changs, Louella's BBQ, Brixx Pizza and a number of other popular restaurants and shopping destinations as well as a 15 screen movie theatre. Biltmore Village and Estate is a short 15 minute drive. Hiking, rafting, waterfalls, world class fishing and zip lining is in all directions.

The location and amenities of this home really made our stay above and beyond! The pictures don’t do this place the justice it deserves. Talk about coffee with a view…breathtaking in September! So spacious, extremely clean, and GREAT communication! We ran out of propane for the fire pit and I messaged Birgit And received a response in less than two minutes!

Well equipped, clean & cozy
The home is very clean and a nice size. Our family had plenty of room to sleep, and to work remotely. Our favorite rooms were the sunroom with breathtaking views of the mountains and the screened in porch for meals and relaxing by the fire pit or playing board games in the evenings. The Biltmore Estate was in close proximity as well as the numerous hiking trails. The hosts, Birgit and Tony are very welcoming and communicate well.

Lovely, spacious home
This is a lovely, spacious home with comfortable furnishings in a good location. We especially loved the screened porch and the sunroom with a lovely view. There was plenty of room for the family to spread out and the house included a game room which the children loved. The hosts provided helpful detailed instructions and responded promptly to my call about how to stop the noise from the hot tub recycling. Highly recommended.

Family Vacation!
We knew as soon as we walked into the Rhodie House, that we had made an excellent choice! It smelled so clean and it was so clean! The set up was perfect for two families of four and our poochie! Birgit and Tony are so sweet and welcoming with the bottle of wine that was left for us as well as a treat for our dog! The beds are super comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed for making meals. The house is so super cozy and the porch and hot tub were much enjoyed amenities! There is so much to see and do in the area. The house was in a great location so we didnt have to drive far to get to places. Thank you so much for having us as guests! We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely enjoy coming back in the future!

GREAT LOCATION
We loved the Rhodie house with its beautiful surroundings and the proximity of restaurants, any type of shopping, and downtown Asheville. The house itself was wonderful with lots of room for our 6-person group. It was very clean with good kitchen amenities and many extras such as a multitude of books and games and an actual game room containing pinball, Pac-man, television and more. Oh, and also a full-size laundry room. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, and the "3-season" room (i.e. BIG screened in porch) and also the cozy den that provided gorgeous views were our favorite rooms. This is a great place in a great location, and the host (Birgit) was great as well.

Perfect Space!
This house has amazing space - almost all week we had afternoon thunderstorms but the covered screened porch and 4 season room were perfect to still enjoy the mountains and watch the storms pass. I just can't say enough about these spaces. Kids loved the game room, too, giving them space away from the adults. The yard was fantastic for our pups; they were secured inside the fence. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the location was great, with grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Recommend visits to Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock Park, and a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Awesome Mountain View home!
The house was absolutely as beautiful as described in the Vrbo description. It was a lovely house that made you feel like you were in the trees. Comfortable seating, beds, bathrooms. All really fantastic. The screened in porch and the sun room and the hot tub were huge draws for our group of ladies. It was absolutely worth the 20 minute drive into Asheville to stay in this home. The host was the most responsive host we have ever experienced. Fantastic!

Perfect Spot for a Friend Vacation.
This is the perfect spot, right outside of Asheville but still close to everything it’s just the right amount of secluded mountainside oasis and home base. The owners are communicative and give fantastic recommendations. Our group absolutely loved the enclosed porch and the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Could not recommend this place enough and we will be back.

Fabulous Property With Lots Of Character And Amenities
This was a fabulous property for me and my family. Walking in, it was one of the cleanest houses I’ve ever rented. It was an older house, but updated in such a way that it was modern in utility, while keeping its rustic charm. The beds were very comfortable. The owners were great to work with. Very accommodating and check in/out was super easy. The hot tub was used quite a bit and added to the enjoyment of the property. The gas fireplace added to the coziness of the house on the cold nights. Kitchen appliances were modern and in great working order. The washer and dryer are extra large in capacity, so doing laundry before we left was fast and easy. The views of the mountains were awesome and the proximity to Asheville was great. We definitely enjoyed the many books offered for guests in our down time. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful holiday getaway
This location made for a great 4-night visit with family at the beginning of our holiday trek. The views were gorgeous and the space was very comfy. The shuffleboard game in the basement was a big hit. Our beagle really enjoyed the house too! The directions left by the host were easy to understand. We even got to see a short dusting of snowfall on one of the nights!

Kicking off the Christmas Season!
This is the 3rd year the four of us with our pups have traveled north from Florida to start the Christmas season. The Rhodie house was everything we hoped for and more! Birgit and Tony are great hosts! The views in the morning and evening were simply magnificent! The amenities provided were greatly appreciated. Our pups enjoyed the freedom of a fully fenced in yard. We visited the Biltmore and experienced the lights at the Arboretum. Both destinations were very close and an easy drive. Thank you both for a wonderful stay!!!

Great mountain house with character!
We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and plan to come back! Excellent location with an incredible view and so many little “bonuses” - games downstairs, a massive screened in porch upstairs, a hot tub, fenced in yard, and so much more.
