"This villa is lovely and old and very spacious. The hosts are beyond charming and so helpful. We were able to enjoy being in the country while also being very proximate to cities, towns, wine tasting and other activities, like hilltop hiking. The kitchen was not the most convenient for home cooking for Americans used to a more modern kitchen, but we managed. Our hostess made our first dinner, which was so nice and so delicious. This is an optional add-on. "

The pool was very welcome given the 35 degree heat in mid July and we spent many an hour just in and out the pool! The main draw for this rental is the stunning location. "The villa is located near a small mountain town surrounded by vineyards. It is an absolutely stunning setting. The villa easily sleeps 7 adults and it is large with lots of separate rooms so it never feels crowded.It is filled with art and antiques and whimsical things to discover. There are two outdoor patios, one for outdoor dining and one for sipping wine or snoozing in the hammock.The villa is secure behind a gate and fence with room to park several cars.
