Come to relax, surf, hike, and play on the Oregon coast with the pleasure and ease of a beautiful home.
Captain's House, a coastal peaceful comfortable spacious home with 180 degrees ocean views. With a reverse floor plan and large windows you can watch the waves roll in, see the change in ocean color throughout the day and the sunsets. An under 2 min walk, gets you on a beautiful empty beach whenever you feel like. A covered deck with expansive ocean views invites you often to feel the ocean breeze and hear the sound of crashing waves. The back deck with gas grill has partial ocean view, lush rain forest view and mountain view. The memory foam comfortable mattresses on all beds will give you a deep long night sleep in the strong fresh ocean air. All 4 bedrooms have their own private bath and work table with chair(s). One bedroom has a UHD computer monitor
The house has two living rooms.
The living room downstairs can be used as a 5th walk through sleeping area. It has a queen sofa bed sleeper that pulls out into bed and a twin bed with trundle.
The dinning table has 10 comfortable dining chairs. There are also 4 counter height chairs at the kitchen island
In the house you can find:
1 child’s highchair, 2 X pack' n plays with mattresses + 3 sheets for mattresses, stepping stools, 1 baby gate.
100% cotton bed linens with duvet covers washed after every guest (no top sheets), extra blankets and pillows
High speed internet, wi-fi, wired telephone for local/US calls, XBox One S + 1 controller.
We offer Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ (with ads) via the Roku apps on all 6 smart TVs as well as Live TV on the Hulu app (like cable TV with 85+ channels) with unlimited DVR recording. Please DO NOT log out of these 3 (Hulu, Disney, ESPN) apps so all guests can enjoy them. You’re welcome to add any other Roku apps.

Amazing time in cannon beach
We went on a girl’s trip for some of our friends special milestone birthdays and had the best time!! The house was amazing- great location, very clean, very well stocked, and plenty of room for all of us. 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and lots of beds as well as an awesome kitchen!!

Eight active 82 yr old college friends meet yearly !!
This home provided excellent space for all. Exceptional great room with cozy seating for all plus the view, cooking going on, spacious kitchen and huge dining room. Abundant choices for sleeping plus four bathrooms provided privacy, and two exterior decks to enjoy the outdoors. Quick walk to beach or head out to shop at nearby shops!

Fabulous Stay in Arch Cape
We had an incredible stay in Arch Cape. The home was larger and more beautiful than expected. The home was spotless and comfortable and the location was perfect - quick walk to the beach and a short drive to all the beautiful spots in and around Arch Cape. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was plenty of extra bedding and towels. We couldn't have asked for a better family reunion.

Fun and Serene
This house has wonderful views, is very close to the beach, and is very roomy. We had four couples and two young children. Everyone had enough private space, and we also enjoyed the areas available to get together as a group. We utilized the kitchen and the barbecue, eating both inside and out. We will definitely try to return.

Wonderful house for a large family
The house is the perfect size for a large family. We had 9 people and loved that the kitchen table accommodates 10. It made for fun evenings enjoying dinner together and playing cards and other games. Also, there were enough beds that none of the kids had to share, so that made them happy. The house is clean, nicely decorated, and the kitchen is nicely stocked. Loved that there was a washer and dryer for us to use after a day on the beach. Arch Cape does not have public beach access, so time on that beach was quiet and enjoyable. We had fun roasting marshmallows around a campfire one evening. Because the beach is quiet, the kids had fun finding lots of seashells too. Centrally located on the Oregon coast, makes for easy travel to explore the whole coastline from Astoria to Cape Meare. Definitely, a place where I would stay again, if we decide to return to the Oregon coast.

Great house in a great location
Good sized house with lots of space. For everyone. Very comfortable for everyone. This was our second visit but first with a newborn. We all had a great time. Lovely quiet beach but close enough to Cannon Beach to go for coffee and shopping. Will definitely be back.

Property was very nice and well appointed. You could tell that the property management has been renting vacation homes for a while and knew what a renter would need. Arch Cape is a great location for a relaxing vacation, while being close enough to all the sites to see the things you want to. Great stay.

Family Reunion Rain & Shine
We had a fabulous time at your beautifully appointed Beach Home. From Crabbing at Kelly’s in Nehalem Bay, to shopping in Cannon Beach to Golf at Gearhart our Minnesota and New Jersey family made memories we will treasure the rest of our lives. The view from the living room & master bedroom windows was amazing. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The walk to the beach was short. (The beach was non-existent at high tide though.) And the drive to Cannon Beach was short. We hope to come again.

Perfect girls' trip!
We seven moms thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Captains House for a nice long weekend. I don't know how many times I heard a friend say, "this house is so great!" It was absolutely perfect, well stocked, beautiful view, comfortable...I could go on and on. We especially appreciated that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Perfect Oregon Coast Getaway
Are stay in the Captains House was absolutely amazing. It’s our second time staying in your beautiful home and nothing disappointed us! We love the Oregon coast and everything about it. We even had decent weather for this time of year which was a bonus. Your location is perfect for hiking, searching for sand dollars, visits to Cannon Beach bakery and Bruce’s candy kitchen, eating at Mo’s and access to the beach for morning walks, playing in the sand or enjoying a camp fire sunset. My husband and I stayed in this property for 10 days in September of 2023. This was our second time to rent the house, renting it four years prior for a month. The house is very clean and has a view of the ocean, which is only steps away. There’s a front balcony and back balcony; both have places for 8 guests to sit and enjoy the surroundings. We truly love this place. The bedding is soft but unfortunately we are not duvet people. There is only a duvet on the beds—no sheet. They offer blankets in the closets. The king bed pillows were uncomfortable and need to be changed. They balloon up on either side of your head. The pillows in the queen bedrooms are comfy. We had two situations we were trying to work out with the manager of the house and were disappointed in her responses. One issue was a slow draining sink in the upstairs master bedroom. The other was the sound of a mouse or some small animal in the downstairs wall between the garage and foyer. She was dismissive of both and even suggested we might not have heard anything at all, saying no one else had ever heard anything, and she didn’t want to waste money sending someone out to see if there was a problem even though I had heard loud scratching and digging early one morning that I could hear from upstairs. She went on to dismiss our request for the drain to be fixed saying it would be done after we left as it was very difficult to get workers in this “remote area with bears and mountain lions.” Hmmmm.

Lots of space for extended family visit
Our group ranged from ages 9 to 83, and this home was a great space for everyone. There are bedrooms on the ground floor of the home (with just a few steps in), which is a nice option for individuals who have more limited mobility, but the kitchen and main gathering space are on the second floor. We appreciated lots of bathrooms. The home is in great condition, and it was very clean when we arrived. The quiet beach was wonderful. We enjoyed being able to walk to Hug Point in the mornings. We hope to be able to stay here again.

Beach house with everything
Captain’s House was perfect for our Labor Day getaway to Cannon Beach. We were 3 families with 11 total (5 kids between 5 and 14) and had ample room to all be together but also have our own space. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and equipped and had everything we needed for 4 days with a lot of varied cooking. The ping pong table was a hit, and we really appreciated all the beach chairs, towels, toys, games, and equipment. The portable lanterns and s’more sticks came in really handy for our beach bonfires too. The house is just a couple of minutes away from the beach. This part of the coast is nice and close to Cannon Beach, but just that bit quieter which we prefer. We’d definitely recommend the house and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very easy communication with the host too.
