This rental is tastefully decorated and furnished with hardwood floors, radiant floor heating, and soaring ceilings as well as a full kitchen, dining area, and a forested backyard with a picnic table. You really will feel like you are on a private retreat while you are here!

This rental is located in Arcata, just two miles from the Arcata Community Forest and Cal Poly Humboldt. You'll also be within two miles of the historic Arcata Theatre Lounge and the Natural History Museum. For additional outdoor adventures, take a drive out to the coast, just eight miles west, or pack up your camera gear and head to Arcata Marsh and the Arcata Bird Sanctuary, home of over 250 species of birds.

This is a beautiful little guest house surrounded by Redwoods. It's quiet and feels like you're in the woods, but close enough to town for shopping, dining, and exploring. The property itself is well maintained and clean.

Gem in the Woods !
Modern amenities in a picture perfect setting. So conveniently located between the northern redwood parks and the avenue of the giants to the south. Plus, within blocks of the beautiful Arcata Community Forest. Perfect for those who prefer more of a hotel vs tent/camping experience.

Magnificent
This beautiful cottage was our home base for our Redwood adventures & it could not have been more perfect! It was stocked with everything we needed and it was nestled in its own redwood forest so we were able to enjoy the serenity of the magnificent trees our entire stay whether we were out exploring the area close to Arcata or we were back from a busy day traveling and hiking. The location is so convenient to the Redwood National Forest and all that it has to offer as well as charming smaller communities around Arcata (Trinidad and Ferndale were two of our favorites). Thank you for sharing this special place with us.

Perfect!
Loved the cottage! Great location, convenient to most everything. Loved how secluded we felt, but how close everything was. The cottage itself was beautiful and so comfortable. If I had an issue, it was there were no wine glasses but that's just a personal preference. Bedcwas very comfortable and the property, inside and out, was so pretty.

Beautiful retreat
The home was so well done for the size and had all of the basic amenities the two of us needed. Just as described and what the pictures show. The outside area was so beautiful, private and serene - couldn’t have asked for a better location. The bed is nice and big, but is extremely hard for our taste and both of us woke up quite sore each morning. Could use a pillow top for sure. Overall was a beautiful and perfect retreat for the two of us on our anniversary.

Truly a Serene Redwood Retreat!
This little guest house was cozy and beautiful with all its windows looking out to Redwoods everywhere. You feel like you're deep in the woods, but actually you are only a few minutes away from the town square of Arcata and CalPoly Humboldt University. It is as it appears in the photos. Also, it was fun to see wildlife during our drive in the neighborhood. We saw deer, an elk, a skunk, and a little fox.

Great Location
Nice quiet apartment in the woods. Convenient to the highway. Bed and bath were nice. Kitchen had little counter space. We made breakfast every day but dinner would have been a challenge. We didn't watch TV but the TV in the apartment was very small. Otherwise it was a very nice place and would stay here again.

Lovely cabin nestled in the woods.
Beautiful setting, nestled in the woods, we felt we were in a tree house. Well appointed house for a couple for a romantic stay. I would only suggest some chairs to sit outside and take in all that nature has to offer. And, as advertised, the refrigerator is very small, which we made do with our short stay. Just a heads up for those extended stays where a full fridge is a must.
