"Stayed here during the 75th anniversary of d-day. On arrival didn't know how to check in but was not a problem as owner lives next door. Great location to easily get to other places. Resident chickens in the garden made our stay welcoming and interesting. One day owner left us fresh eggs and on the last night of our stay left us a bottle of wine and biscuits. Would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back."

"Nachdem wir eine sehr sommerliche Woche in Paris verbracht haben, war die erfrischende Meerluft der Normandie schön. Wir waren nur zu dritt, daher hatten wir reichlich Platz in dem Haus. Die Räume sind ausreichend groß. Die Verständigung bei Übergabe war etwas schwierig aber dennoch möglich. Überraschend wurde nach einer hohen Kaution in Bar gefragt, die vorab nicht vereinbart war. Es ging dann auch mit kleinerer Summe in Ordnung. Was uns ein wenig wunderte war, dass gar keine...

"Helene was a superb host. Her communication from booking to check in was excellent, and she came to welcome us at the start of our stay and farewell us at the end. The house is beautiful and even better than the pictures, with a fabulous view of the sea, the saltwater lido pool in the bay and the bouchon mussel farm round the bay. The living rooms are spacious, light, and you ah w great views from the front of the house and of course the balcony which runs across the whole front of the house....

"Stayed 8 nights in this lovely property. Is exactly as shown in the photos and would highly recommend staying here. We stayed just before in early April. Is out of season for this town so was quiet and not everything was open in Barneville Carteret but is a lovely little town. Beach is beautiful! The property a great base for exploring Normandy, we had great day trips to Mont St Michel and the D Day beaches. Would highly recommend L en bar quai restaurant (leave room for dessert!!). Le Russel...

"This property is just as advertised - and the refurbished interior is very much appreciated. It is updated and functional. The town is itself is lovely and pleasant - the weather consistently 10 degrees (farenheit) cooler than Paris, with everything you need a short walk or at most a short drive away. Gorgeous beach, dogs not allowed in July and August - but just a littl walk down the dunes to the less populous area - St Georges - dogs are permitted. So it's fine and doable to bring your dog....

"An excellent property in a peaceful neighbourhood. As with many properties the photos dont do it justice. Short walk to the beach as this is just off Barneville Plage. Garden spacious so would be good for people with children. Only suggestion and one I would make to almost every property we have stayed at, please some more hanging space in the bedrooms and a 'shelf' in the shower to put soap, shampoo etc."
