"We had a wonderful time in this cosy, rustic chalet with impeccable views. It was great for two families and had everything we needed. Only things to watch out for are head heights - there are lots of low level ceilings and so not great for very tall people and lots of steep steps so not brilliant if you have any mobility issues at all. However for a stay very near to the Croix Fry lifts, easy ski hire, slopes, cross country ski and delightful walks it was perfect."

"What can I say we absolutely loved the chalet it was perfect for us! We were cycling and the chalet location was fantastic for doing the mountains we wanted to tick off. The chalet was beautiful, clean and the hosts very accommodating. I would definitely stay there again. What a beautiful part of the world, I would 100% recommend! :)"

"Very nice.In the middle of landscape .Surrounded by fields and cows. So quiet and peaceful .We Ve enjoyed our stay. The house is big enough for a large family. My 4 /5 for cleaning. Tell your landlady to clean under your sofa or pieces of furniture...... The tablecloth was dirty and spotty.. Not easy to know if you live too far to check. Otherwise we Ve had a lovely family time."

"This was our second stay in this chalet and we had another thoroughly enjoyable week. The chalet is warm and clean and benefits from the sun streaming into the property. Le Grand Bornand is a great village with restaurants and shops and the ski area is friendly and perfect for family or leisure skiing. Would be very happy to stay again some day !"

"Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans ce grand châlet, idéal pour 10 personnes. La pièce de vie est assez grande pour ne pas être les un sur les autres. Il est très bien situé si vous voulez être au calme des stations, qui restent très proches (mais qui sont bondées lors des vacances scolaires donc beaucoup de circulation pour y accéder, mais des navettes sont à disposition proche du châlet.) Des petites choses nous ont toutefois manquées comme davantage de produits de première nécessité pour...

"The chalet is situated on a very quiet road with spectacular views of the lake and mountains from the balcony. The chalet is spacious and comfortable on 2 floors. We were 6 adults staying with plenty of room however although there are 2 bathrooms ( one upstairs and one downstairs) there is only one toilet. The drive way is long and narrow and parking 3 cars on it was a bit difficult ."

"This is a beautifully decorated old chalet apartment with good size bedrooms and living space. The Sauna and hot tub are also fantastic to help relax at the end of the day, although to get to the hot tub you have to go out of the main door located next to the road, so not totally private, The kitchen is well equipped and also has raclette machines and a hot stone for a typical Haute Savoie style meal. "The location of the apartments is perfect - a quick and easy walk to the train/bus station, old town and lake. We only saw one member of staff during our stay but he couldn't have been more helpful, and the apartment itself was a great size and perfect for our family of four (loft room). Highly recommend!"

Simple, Refined, and Comfortable

"Check in was quick and smooth. They offer a voucher for a free drink from their bar if you opt into having your room freshened every 3rd day instead of every day. I didn't end up using my voucher, but the incentive for being slightly more eco-friendly is a nice touch that stays in line with their overarching theme. The room was very simple, but didn't lack in comfort. It is in a very good location with anything you might need only a short walk away. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Ruby Claire to anyone staying in Geneva. "
