Spacious beach house with a beautiful view of the gulf

The fully air-conditioned house is in a quiet, exclusive residential area at the tip of the island. Miles of white sandy beach on your doorstep is one of Florida's most beautiful beaches. The house has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large open plan kitchen and living area and free WIFI.
We renovated the house in 2021: new kitchen, new living room furniture, the mattresses, linen, towels, dishes and dining ware have been completely replaced. In 2022, hurricane-proof sliding glass doors were installed and the roof renewed.
Enjoy the lovely breeze on the terrace while having breakfast or watch the beautiful sunsets from the terrace in the evening. The special feature - your advantage: The location of the house is so close to Gulf beach and therefore very family-friendly.
The house has an optimal beach distance of approx. 150ft. The distances are short, especially when someone ' just ' wants to get something cold to drink or someone just has to go to the toilet...
Feel the breeze and relax: The house is located in the most beautiful part of the island with a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy the sunsets from the terraces of the house.
And where else is that in America? You cycle to the pier, the post office or to the 'Sandbar', one of the most popular restaurants on the island.
People come from far and wide to this insider tip to enjoy good food on the porch in the warm breeze and watch the sunset as a red ball in the gold water.
Kitschy? - No, just very natural. And you can experience that every evening from the house terraces.

By car to Mickey Mouse & Co.: You can easily reach Florida's major attractions in the Orlando area in a day trip (approx. 1.5 hours' drive) by car. And in the evening you can look forward to the tranquility of the island again....

The small cottage with pool to the left also belongs to us. It is completely separated but can also be rented. This makes both houses ideal for weddings, family reunions or traveling with two families.

This was our second time staying at this property. The home is wonderful: comfortable beds, good sized rooms and bathrooms, all the beach things you might need (chairs, umbrellas, toys, cooler, wagon, etc), drip and keurig coffee makers, all the things. The location is awesome: only a two minute walk to the beach. The owners and management are incredibly responsive, kind and easy to communicate with- after difficulty with management at other homes, I am so grateful to know that our stay at this home will be stress-free!

Beach sunsets
This property is in a wonderful location, across the street from the beach. It was exactly as advertised. The deck off the 3rd floor master bedroom with its views of the beach and sunsets is the best place in the house. The view may change in the future when there is a house built on that empty lot.

Amazing stay!
We loved our stay in this house on AMI. The home was spacious, clean, and very well-stocked. The huge front porch had a view of the ocean, and the path to the beach was only a few short steps away. It was perfect for our family of four. We would highly recommend this house.

Simply wonderful!
My family and I so enjoyed staying in this beautiful home. The location was perfect! A short walk to the beach across the street for early morning walks and watching the sunset in the evening! The location is quiet and peaceful. Only a short walk to the shops on Pine Street. The large front porch makes for a wonderful place for early morning coffee and a quick lunch between beach visits. The beds were very comfortable, and the house had everything that we needed. This is our third trip to Ana Maria Island, and it will not be our last!

Amazing home
Such an amazing week! The view was spectacular from both porches! We spent all our meals soaking in the view from the large table on the porch. Very easy walk across the street to the beach access. Such beautiful clear water this week! Kitchen was very well stocked to allow us to cook all our meals (except for a donut run to the Donut Experiment!). Very comfortable beds allowing us to catch up on much needed sleep! Would definitely recommend this home for a week in paradise!

Happy Place
The house is wonderfully located just a short walk to the beach, and a short walk to Pine St shops and trolley stops. After a small hiccup at check in, which was quickly resolved, we enjoyed a relaxing week+. There was construction going on directly behind, which started at 7am T-R, but not something the host could control. The house wasn’t fancy, but had all the amenities we needed. The hosts were super responsive and gracious throughout our stay. We’d definitely stay again! Thank you, Waldmullers!

We found the property to be as described. Was very clean and spacious. Everything was in good working order. Kitchen was well equipped for our needs. With 3 bathrooms, no one was waiting ever. The view of the gulf from the Master bedroom was a nice bonus. Owner was very responsive. We all enjoyed our stay.

Great location
Spacious and clean. Easy booking, check in and out. House is in a great location. Some updates and minor repairs needed, eg. old bed linens, 2 non working lamps, old coffee maker, old appliances and coking utensils, charcoal grill/no gas grill, master bath doesn’t lock, kitchen garbage can, stairs to upper bedroom have a raised lip that you could trip on. All easily fixed. Would stay there again if these changes were made.

Better places on the island
Location is good. Cleanliness was lacking. Ants and other bugs present throughout. You will need all necessities even hand soap. Bring your own first aid kit as the one on property is $40 to use. Living room has outdoor furniture. Not comfortable at all. Location was the only thing that kept me from rating it a 1 star.

Beautiful home.
Our stay was very interesting. The hurricane force winds and the storm surge were our first time experiencing a hurricane. We weathered through and Kerstin and Georg kept in touch with us to make sure we were ok. This meant a lot to all of us. We did puzzles and walked the island when it was safe to do so. The only downside was the black ants. I informed the manager and he assured us they had just sprayed. We bought some ant traps and sprayed Black Flag ant spray and this took care of the problem. This is a beautiful home with a view of the Gulf.

Another great family vacay is SW FL
We have been vacationing in SW FL for 25 years but this was our first time in AMI. The house was perfectly laid out and was exactly as described in the listing. Kerstin was very reaponsive and provided a lot of useful information prior to our arrival. The house was not beachfront but the access point was very close and the beach was really nice. Tip: get your umbrellas and chairs set up early. It can get a little crowded and you may be dragging your stuff down the beach to find a spot. The AC was.cold and the house was super clean on arrival. Only hiccup was the coffee maker died on day 2 but no biggie, we worked around it. Pine Avenue had no shortage of places to shop, eat, and hang out. Further out, AMI Oyster Bar on the pier in Bradenten is worth the 15 minute drive.

Great Views and Fabulous Patio
The patio was superb. It went from one end or the house to the other. You could see the blue waters of the Gulf over the house in front of us. Home was light and airy. A sunny Florida home that was comfortable and inviting. Beach access literally less than 100 feet away. This area of the beach is not too crowded and the water is calm for swimming. We didn’t have to deal with strong currents as we were just South of Bean Point where the Gulf waters meet the bay. Kerstin was a gracious host and helped me through the VRBO booking process with great patience. Ken and Karen from property management were so helpful making sure we had our keys and also making some suggestions for an extended stay due to the gas shortage. We were able to make it home but sure do appreciate your concern and help. Thank you for making our vacation the best! We will be back.

Great location!
The house is conveniently located less than 10mn walk from a beautiful white sand beach, ideal to walk up to The Sand Bar from the beach for early evening cocktails watching the sunset. It is also a short 15mn walk to our favorite breakfast place, North Shore cafe and other “must try’s” like the donut experiment and pizza social. Overall, we had a really nice stay, the house is spacious with plenty of room for everyone and the ocean view on the terrace was much appreciated. My only comments would be on the need to potentially upgrade some of the outdoor furniture and supplies (deck chairs could use a little TLC and the charcoal barbecue is small and does not feel really safe, we had to ask for beach chairs which were delivered on the day but had to struggle with the beach umbrella a few times, investing in a slightly higher quality equipment would improve the experience). Lastly, the TV in the living room was not working and did not offer the option to log into the standard cable options eg. Netflix and the like, we usually see those coming with this type of rentals, this would have been a plus especially with teenagers. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend the house for its convenience and overall comfort. Thank you for a great stay!

Quiet and Clean
My husband and I stayed for a week in AMI for a workation in December, and enjoyed our time there. The property has a great floorplan with all of the living space on the second and third floors (garage is on the ground floor). The big covered deck on the second floor allows for easy access to the living area, kitchen, dining, and laundry. The primary bedroom on the top floor was comfortable and a nice quiet place to sleep. The only reason that we gave this property a 4-star review is because the owner did not provide many of the basic supplies that are needed when renting a home for a full week. With 3 bathrooms, there was only one partial roll of toilet paper, and no shampoo, conditioner, or shower soap (not even hotel samples to get guests past the first night). There were only 5 dishwasher pods (we rented for a full week), and no laundry soap. Given the price that we paid for the week in this home, we would have expected at least these basic supplies to be provided. When we asked, the owner simply replied: "We rent a vacation home.all guests provide their own supplies. We have normally toilet and one roll of kitchen paper in the cabinet for the start." Additionally, we were disappointed to find that nearly all of the white bath and hand towels were dingy and thin, most likely from overuse and a lack of proper laundry soap or bleach. Overall, Anna Maria Island is a lovely place for a vacation and the neighborhood is quiet and safe.
