A unique mountainside perch in Alaska's most coveted neighborhood, The Front Range Chalet is located on the flanks of Anchorage’s Chugach Mountains. This accessible yet secluded rarity boasts incredible views overlooking Anchorage, the Cook Inlet, and the Alaska Range mountains, and has easy access to trailheads, single tracks, and plentiful wildlife.
My home will be open to guests for only two months each year so I can share this spectacular location with others from around the world.
The space
You'll have the whole house to yourself: a clean, bright, open space filled with live plants and art from local artists, with gardens, a sauna, and all the amenities of my actual home!
The living room offers amazing sunsets and cross-inlet mountain views;
There's a dedicated office made for remote workers, with a stand-sit desk, wobble stool, monitors, keyboard, and mouse.
The deck is one of the gems of the property and provides a great place to relax and appreciate the endless views and midnight sun.
Guest access
There's plenty of parking and the front door on the deck has a keypad for entry at your convenience.

The goal is for this property to be carbon neutral by 2030. High efficiency windows and solar panels are just around the corner.
I founded Frontiersman Sourdough (@frontiersmansourdough), a small local business, centered on our shelf-stable sourdough starter. We donate a portion of profits to environmental conservation in Alaska, use only organic ingredients, and package/ship with only biodegradable materials. Find us in most gift shops, gourmet food shops, and galleries around Alaska.
