I travel to Eagle River often! I was thrilled to hear about the newly remodeled motel option, as there are not many choices. Upon arrival I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was beautiful, But as a new business I have a few suggestions, They do not have “black out” blinds. They have blinds that the light shines through around the edges. This made it impossible to feel rested during my stay, I’m from Arizona where the sun shines, But not 24/7. This made it impossible to actually rest.
Another suggestion would be to provide dish soap, dish towels when you have a kitchen. There was not an ironing board in the room and my internet was down for 2 days. This meant no tv as they did not have cable tv, I did get someone at the desk to offer to get someone to fix it after 8pm on the second night of no internet. I declined. I worked all day and didn’t want someone in my room at 9pm, as she had to call someone to come to the hotel. They knew it was down, so waiting until 8pm is not the best customer service. I was less than happy. The size of the television did not fit the room. The room was large and beautiful but the tv was small and the remote would not work from the bed due to distance. So when the tv did work you had to get up stand by the tv to use the remote. Again this room was beautiful, but they have a few things to work on to make it a 5 star.
