"Accommodation was in a great locaition. 15 minutes uphill walk to the Chora, or 2 minutes into the harbour of Pera Gialos with shops, bars, restaurants and a small beach. Accom had everything you need, good aircon, balcony. kitchenette etc. Beds were comfy, The host wasn't brilliant at communication, that said he was kind enough to pick us up from the port and gave us a gift when we left. It took a few emails to get a response from him, but he was great when we did. My only other minor gripe is...

"The location was perfect with the port & chora each within 5-10 minutes walk The room was also perfect with a comfortable king size bed and spacious shower area and bathroom, and lovely large balcony with panoramic views of the port, Venetian castle and surrounding area. All looked to have been recently refurbished to a high standard. Every morning coffee and a lovely selection of pastries were left outside our room. If staying on the lovely island of Astypalaia these apartments should...

"The apartment was good & clean if a little basic. The communication was good. Fantastic location on the water within walking distance to wonderful restaurants. However, the apartment was noisy. Noise travels easily between apartments with washing machines going all night. We were next to a very noisy family with children shouting until 2am - this was frustrating and extremely tiring ! "

"Everything about it was just perfect for my stay... Close to the harbor, clean, quiet and the proprieters also have a fine restaurant on site...I ate there every night! Also they were very welcoming & helpful with directions, ferry advice and car rentals... Can't wait to stay there again! :)"
