We were attending a wedding at the island’s resort. This home is just under a mile away, so we walked the quiet road, and encountered a peacock and deer. Guemes is a magical little island, and this house, sporting a breathtaking view and quiet surroundings, was a perfect home base for our weekend.
Two full living rooms- lots of space for six people. The 2 ten foot handwoven rugs were made on a loom by the owner’s Mom- from old wool clothing. The kitchen was spacious. Great small library filled with gardening and wild-life books. View of mountains was great.
Weaver Cottage was a great place for my partner, doggo and I to relax. The house itself was wonderful and the view from the kitchen spectacular. We cook a lot and the kitchen was so well stocked I'm going to buy some of the items they had for myself. The public beach access is a short 1/4mile walk away and the view from it very peaceful.
Kitchen is the heart of the cottage. Everything we needed was there and of good quality. Fabulous views. We had a wonderful stay. Only wish it was longer.
We loved staying here. Clean, comfy beds, dog-friendly, and relaxed. Great that there were bikes available to explore the island on too!

Wake to gorgeous view every morning!
Weaver's cottage was the perfect meeting place for us. My sister and her friend from Phoenix and my husband, adult daughter and I enjoyed everything about our stay. The ferry ride was fun, walking on the beach was always an adventure and the hike up Mt Guemes provided awesome views. The one restaurant provided enough variety and such good food we did not feel the need to leave the island for dining out. The Saturday Farmers Market in Anacortes and a local fishery provided us with delicious fresh food for home cooked meals. The house has a very spacious common area with a great view of the Bay. My daughter found the additional sleeping quarters off the porch a little stuffy and had commented she wished the door had a screen to provide better air circulation. The bicycles need some maintenance so we just walked more.
Beautiful, peaceful respite!!!
