Welcome to Whitetail Cabin! Our beautifully updated cabin has all the modern amenities you could wish for while enjoying Georgetown Lake, Philipsburg, and Discovery Ski Area, including high speed fiber Internet. We are located on a private road on two acres of gently graded land, just across Hwy 1 on the northeast side of the lake - great orientation with wide views of the lake, gorgeous sunsets, and close public access to the water. We are also only 5 miles to Discovery Ski Area!

Great access to Discovery
I was there with my husband and a friend for a ski race this past weekend. We loved the easy access to the mountain. The home was very comfortable and while the lake was snow and ice covered, it was lovely to look out at that view. Everything about getting in was easy and we had no need to contact the property manager.

Very nice property, great kitchen, comfortable beds.
VRBO had an expired email as my main, and took hours to try and fix it VRBO hides a way to get help. Very discouraging. I'm sure it is still not right.

Great for family, not couples needing privacy.
When we arrived we were able to check in smoothly. Directions on where to first turn off the highway needs to be written to say street name at first turn. We immediately noticed no coffee pot and called friends to bring one. I read previous reviews and another person also mentioned this. The host said there was a French press. Would not work for us 5 adults. Hopefully he gets a simple coffee pot as the cabin is electric. Our shower glass was dirty. I contacted him to say his cleaner didn't clean well. He stated she couldn't get it clean. I was able to. I'm not a professional cleaner. I tried to open a window. Dont do that. I was eating and dirt went everywhere from just partially opening it. I noticed dirt under the couch. I sat outside in a dirty chalk covered chair. I thought it might be stained, however it wasnt and i got dirty. The lawn maintenance is lacking. We thought the space upstairs in the loft would have a door. There is no door for privacy. So it's perfect for kids but not 3 couples. The pin 📌 needs moved in the ad. It is a beautiful area. Not far from the lake. The bathroom downstairs has zero privacy. While showering a blue car drove by. For women it's not good. Plus the security camera on the shed may or may not show the bathroom. It's enough to creep you out. The refrigerator in the drawers will freeze things. So be cautious. The motion sensors in the house seem sensitive. The alarm in master bedroom went off several times. We alerted the owner and he quickly adjusted the sensitivity. The upstairs toilet had to be turned on and off due to the leak it had which we noticed first thing and alerted the owner. The cleaner could have noticed that to, had they cleaned the base of the toilet. Overall is a lovely place for a family . Hopefully the owner will provide a coffee pot. It's quiet and relaxing. We would stay again as a smaller group and would recommend this property so long as some things are addressed.

Comfortable cabin in a convenient location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Georgetown Lake is visible from the porch, and as it is close to the main highway, it is easy to get to the lake, Anaconda, or Philipsburg. There was plenty of room, and a really nice updated kitchen and downstairs bathroom. We hope to return in the future!

Whitetail Cabin
Beautiful and clean cabin, short distance to the lake but far enough away for peace and quiet. We saw moose, deer and eagles and lots of little critters. Host was easy to communicate with and we would consider booking this property again.

We had a great stay at this beautiful property. Communication with host was great. Saw bald eagles and was very close to the lake. Only thing that was missing for us was a coffee pot instead of a French press . Otherwise it was fully stocked and met our needs beautifully! Anyone will love their time staying in this home.

Property was as described. Enjoyed the area and did several hikes. House was great for cooking meals in. Enjoyed outdoor fire pit. Wish yard grass was mowed and had more lawn chairs to sit outside, but that did not stop us from enjoying outside.
