Georgetown Lake Hilltop Retreat

This 3-bedroom, 2-bath with mid-century modern interior design overlooks Georgetown Lake and is just a short walk from the water! The open-concept living room and kitchen offer breathtaking views, matched only by the two expansive decks off of the living areas. Nestled among towering 50’ conifers, this newly remodeled home is a guest favorite. With modern furnishings, eclectic art, plenty of space and a hot tub, it’s perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway or an adventurous escape.

We prioritize clear and efficient communication during your stay. For all questions or concerns, please message us directly through your booking platform. If you need immediate assistance, you can reach your host using the contact number provided in the digital guidebook. We're here to ensure you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

Nestled near the sparkling waters of Georgetown Lake, Granite Moose Hideaway offers the perfect retreat for relaxation and adventure in Montana's breathtaking wilderness. Centrally located 15 minutes from historic Philipsburg, Anaconda, and Discovery Basin Ski Resort, this serene getaway is surrounded by pristine wilderness and some of the cleanest waters in the state, making it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts.

Explore nearby attractions in Philipsburg and Anaconda, including unique restaurants, cozy coffee shops, boutique shopping and live music. Craft beer can be found at Philipsburg Brewing Co. or Smelter City Brewery. The Sweet Palace, gem mining, Granite and Copper Village museums, and the historic Philipsburg and Washoe theaters offer plenty of fun experiences.

The surrounding area is an adventurer's paradise:

Hike scenic trails or navigate 4-wheeling routes.
Cast your line in Rock Creek for world-class fly fishing.
Hit the slopes at Discovery Ski Mountain for skiing and snowboarding, or try downhill biking in the summer.
Enjoy boating, paddle boarding, and kayaking on stunning Georgetown Lake, ranked as one of Montana's top three fishing destinations.
With lake access and endless activities, Granite Moose Hideaway is your gateway to Montana's natural beauty. Please remember, this is true Montana living—bear and moose occasionally visit the property. Help keep them safe and your stay enjoyable by securing all food and trash appropriately and make sure you are informed about what to do during an animal encounter.

Your Montana adventure awaits!

There are two pull-in parking spaces, one on the lower level and one on the upper level where the front door is located to enter the home.
Four wheel drive is required in Winter, and highly recommended the rest of the year, because the hill to the house is 50 -75 yards of steep, unimproved private road which leads to the house.
Guests will have access to everything in the house except for the owners closet, which will be locked. There is a utility closet on the lower level with a broom and cleaning supplies are provided.
The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and all of the living spaces and bedrooms are tastefully furnished. The washer and dryer are located in the upstairs bathroom.

This vintage, remodeled gem is minutes walking distance to Georgetown Lake. Georgetown lake is located in between the towns of beautiful Anaconda and historic Philipsburg Montana.

Your own vehicle is necessary for getting to the property and for exploring the area. There are no taxis or driving services available. A 4 wheel drive vehicle in the winter months is required, Montana weather is unpredictable and the roads can become icy or covered in snow, and the road to the house is on a very steep hill. It's only 100 yards, but 4 wheel drive is still necessary, especially in the winter!

Notes from the Owner: I have lived in Montana for 30 years and have chosen this place to purchase a home. Georgetown Lake, Philipsburg, Discovery Basin Ski Resort, The Pintler Mountains and Wilderness Area, Anaconda, and Butte America are some of my favorite places in this great state. I’m honored to share it with you and I hope you and your friends and family have a blast! We love it so much here and have no doubt you will see and experience why.

Notes from Pintler Cabins: We hope you enjoy your stay. Please reach out to us via the booking channel if you have any questions or concerns about your stay! If you need immediate assistance, you can reach your hosts, Shanna and Jamie using the contact numbers provided in the digital guidebook.

Please note: I would recommend that you have a 4x4 with traction tires (snow tires or chains for winter) for the final 200’ of the road leading into the driveway. If you pay attention and have the right gear you will be fine. Carrying tire chains is also recommend if you plan to travel anywhere in Montana during the winter months.
