"First, the only way go stay closer to the cathedral would be to pitch a tent on the lawn! So much room, large kitchen and separate dining room. Really large bedrooms. Entire house super well kept and clean. We are picky travelers and we loved this place! "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the bungalow, which was ideal for my disabled husband. We were out meeting friends every day so the area was good. As said before by others, it would have been nice to have a small freezer section in the fridge. A small folding stool would be handy in the kitchen. The garden would be lovely in the summer. "The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped. However, 2 things let it down.... the doors didn't close properly, and for me the biggest one was no wifi. Its listed as available but I could'nt get it to work, that combined with poor mobile signal made it difficult to make arrangements with family locally. Very nice non the less."

Everything we needed & more was provided & host Nicole made us feel very welcome & special as we were preparing for & celebrating a family wedding nearby. Although we were advised not to use the enormous bath it didn’t matter…the showers were wonderful & the beds so comfy. We loved the outside area & surroundings too. Just a lovely weekend. "

"We stayed at Spire House for more than a week and really settled in. The place had plenty of space for my husband, me and two boys plus the grandparents. We most enjoyed the back English garden, large kitchen and prime location - right by the cathedral and walking distance to everything in town. We had a minor leak in the kitchen sink and Lois responded incredibly fast to get it fixed. It’s an old building so there are things Americans wouldn’t normally encounter that I’d like to mention just...
