Great north woods experience
Had family from around US gather for our traditional guys fishing trip. We wanted a place on a lake that represented the North woods. Everyone was very happy with this one. Nice location right on the lake where we could park our boats. Several of the guys just fished from the docks and watched the eagles while other’s fished the lake. Would do it again! Thanks from all!

Perfect family spot
This cabin was exactly what we were looking for! Great spot for kids and family. Easy to get boats in and out. We used this wonderful lake for swimming, skiing, and fishing. Our favorite part was the patio outside and the grill. We ate outside everyday. The cabin is dated but very very clean! You feel very at home with this cabin. Kitchen is updated which is a plus! Also the property manager was very quick to respond about questions we had for the week. If you want an easy, clean, and family friendly cabin, this is it!

Enjoyable family vacation
Outdoor door area very enjoyable. Host was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed. Home itself could use some upgrades but looks like they are slowly improving so that’s good. Beds were very comfortable. All in all everything was good.

50th birthday !
We celebrated our friend’s 50th birthday and had an absolute blast. The property has a large yard for a fire and yard games. We did a lot of the meals outside under the covered patio area. There is a downstairs living room/bar area that was a lot of fun too. Thanks for a great weekend.

Old charm
The owners were great and very accommodating, communication was prompt, everything was provided, even spices. The outside patio with table, chairs and firepit was an awesome place to gather around for morning coffee and breakfast. It is and old lake cabin with lots of charm. If you are looking for new everything this might not be the place for you, but if you enjoy a comfortable bed and place to gather with family that is quiet and accommodating this is the one. We do wish the shoreline of the property was a bit better, it was weedy and we didn't want to swim. but owners provided a canoe and life vests for a paddle on the lake..

Perfect cabin
This was a great property on a great lake. I wish there were more images of the property in the description becuase they don't do it justice. The cabin was nothing special but served our purposes perfectly. There was plenty of seating for meals and hanging around inside. Some of the dishes seemed a little dirty when we arrived but nothing major. Overall, the cabin was clean. It was very buggy at night becuase it is completely surround by forest. Make sure to bring bug spray if you're planning on spending anytime outside after dark! Overall, this is a wonderful property for any groups looks for a secluded cabin on an active lake!

Overall great value
We enjoyed our stay and overall a really great value, just a few nuances that others may want to know before choosing this property for their vacation rental only due to the lack of description and photos in the posting . First , you’d be extremely hard pressed to find ANY property in this price category that truly sleeps up to 10 people comfortably. We had 8 of us (6 adults, 2 children) and having 4 true bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms was a really big plus for us. The beds were excellent, plenty of extra bedding and each bathroom was spacious and well stocked. ( one with a shower and one with a tub/ shower combo.) plus a washer/ dryer. The 2 bedroom window air conditioning units cooled the upstairs perfectly and even on a hot and very humid night, we all slept like logs. . It’s good to note that both baths are upstairs and with also a decent walk with stairs to the lake , so if walking or stairs are issues for any of your guests, it could be difficult. We appreciated having the lake a little distance walk for the safety of our little ones. We had zero issues with internet connections and had 5 or more devices connected , so that was great for those of us that needed to check in for work. The things that would’ve been helpful to have a more accurate descriptions or photos on were small but if listed , we simply could’ve prepared better. 300 feet of lakeshore is true but your actual view of the lake is limited . We did see lots of wonderful wildlife , but if you want to wake up and drink your coffee overlooking the water or utilize the lakeshore, this may not be the best fit, it’s inaccessible but great fishing off the dock.( don’t plan on swimming unless you bring a boat) Although the home amenities list a grill, it doesn’t say that it is charcoal grill and that you need to supply your own. After arrival We had planned to grill for dinner so we had to send someone to the store for charcoal and every spot for miles around we found out were completely out of lighter fluid. We made due of course:) we had great weather and intended to eat outdoors as much as possible so we were a little surprised that there was only one table with 4 chairs on the patio for seating and the fire ring . With a home suited for 6-10 people, we just wished a few of these things were listed in the description or more photos so we could’ve brought extra lawn chairs, extra dishware etc, but overall had a wonderful stay and would go back, just better prepared. :)

Pretty Area in a Secluded Cabin
The property was really beautiful and secluded. Pretty trees everywhere! The back patio and fire pit were really enjoyable to sit around- but bring your bug spray! The kitchen was nice and the beds were really comfortable. Communication with the host was great. She was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We had 6 adult guests and found the living areas to be a bit small for our group. At night the linoleum floors seemed to catch quite a bit of condensation, and smelled musty. The shower pressure wasn't great. There are a lot of fun things to do in the area - going to Willow River State Park is a must! Interstate State Park, and Apple River tubing were all fairly close and our group really enjoyed visiting them :)

For the price, my expectations were much higher.
We’ve stayed in many homes like this one in the past but the price was half what this one was. The issues that didn’t meet our expectations were: The house needs a deep cleaning. For example, it needs to be cleaned under furniture not just around it. Not all of the dishes were clean in the cabinets. We were told there was a raised fire pit on the patio but we only found a pile of ashes on the ground in the grass. There is no central air, but there are two very noisy window units upstairs. We could not open many of the windows for a breeze because they were full of bugs. The internet speed was very slow. We did a speed test and it kept coming back in the range of .5 to 1.5 megabits per second. The house had a musty smell even though there were baking soda containers everywhere. Upon arrival, there was a bad odor in the kitchen that turned out to be a dead mouse in the garbage can. The property management refunded us a small amount. Overall, this is fishing cabin caliber, not a house on the lake.
