"Resort lived up to its 4 star rating overall. Staff service was 5 star. It does sit near the Northern end of the developed area: pavement ends not far past the property gates. We expected better beaches, but that is not the scene in that part of Belize. The action leans towards snorkeling or dive and fishing. The wind was unusually strong and prevented any of those. But the resort itself was a fine place to hang, which we did. Also, Coco Beach does not try to extract every penny from their guests through nonsense fees. Chairs, towels, umbrellas all part of the room fee."

"Room was a bit small, amenities were simple, but everything else about this place was just right. Choice of two pools. Waterfront but can't swim in the water. A good distance from the busy and congested part of San Pedro... not too close and not too far either."

"It was clean with friendly staff. The pool area was small but nice with a good combination of sun and shade. Not too much beach but enough to sit around and enjoy the view. Lots of restaurants to choose from in the area. Waling along the beach was great. A very busy area with lots of golf carts, but that cant really be avoided as its the main form of transportation "

"My husband and I recently stayed here for my birthday trip to Belize. It was really lovely there. The staff was out every morning very early doing landscaping and maintenance. Our one bedroom cottage was perfect for us. It was very clean, the AC was much appreciated, and the bed was comfortable. The only downside is that the windows are always open. They are screened with plantation shutters on the inside. It's nice to hear the birds as it does feel like you are out in the rainforest. This also means that you hear the golf carts going by, and pretty much everyone on property does the golf carts as it means you can also get into San Pedro easily. The staff was VERY friendly, always smiling, and so helpful. The pool is beautiful, the Pool Club (on property but separate from Mahogany Bay) was our favorite! It is surrounded by palm trees and bamboo...loved it. I will also say that the emails I sent the property about airport transportation and questions about the private beach (which is EXCEPTIONAL) were answered quickly and professionally. This was an outstanding experience for us. We hope to come back one day and see how the property has developed! "
