This cabin was just Amazing. The views were so nice. It had everything we needed. Getting up the hills to the cabin was a bit sketchy but I drive a car. Loved it!!! I would go back for sure.
We all enjoyed our stay. The place is pretty secluded which was great! The cabin was clean. The jacuzzi was wonderful! The road going back to the cabin could use a little work as it was pretty rough in some places and the picnic area beside the fire pit could have been cleaned up a little but we used the broom and swept which wasn’t a big deal. Bring your own firewood if you’re going to use the fire pit. I would definitely stay here again!!! Thank you!!!
We loved staying at the Mountainside Retreat cabin. It was just right for our family of 4. It was a lovely secluded location. We enjoyed the hot tub and campfire. Because of the remote location, we had some trouble (even with GPS) navigating the back roads, and we thought the dirt road to the cabin might have been a challenge without 4 wheel drive. We lost power for a few hours due to high winds. Ryan, our host, forewarned us of this possibilty and responded quickly when I asked him for restoration predictions and restaurant recommendations.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
We had a lot of fun of this property, it’s a lot smaller than it looked online though, it did have three bedrooms but they were small just a bedside table in them no dresser to unpack your clothes, the hot tub looked nice but we didn’t use it, wished there was a little more room in the kitchen as far as counter space to cook and prep meals but we made it work. It was very clean, they had movies books and games. Just taking away one star for the lack of space. Property managers communication was great made things very easy. Would stay again if it were maybe just me and my husband
We went for an adults only trip and the cabin was amazing for it. There were a few concerns, such as the bathroom door having to be closed a certain way and a very creaky bed frame that made it difficult to sleep. The road down definitely needs 4-wheel drive as it’s pretty steep and gravel. Overall it was a great place to stay.
The cabin was a little hard to get up to but not impossible. It was very clean and extremely cozy. The beds were comfortable. The best part for me was the house looks over the hill with a wrap around deck that sit in the tree canopy. Perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee. We did see a lot of deer walking in the woods right below the deck. We didn't get phone service what so ever but the wifi was pretty solid. I had no complaints I'm going back next summer.
We had a truly great stay! The cabin was clean cute and semi remote, the location was great and very close to hocking hills state park. This cabin had everything we needed for a great weekend. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others wanting a nice get away.
The property was good. The gravel road leading to it was challenging for a sedan. More deck furniture would be a plus. The hot tub was great! It was a fun and relaxing trip!
We had a great time and a very chill weekend. Far enough away from civilization, but still close enough to grab supplies (or pizza). Everything with the cabin was just right
A great cabin, nice amenities, well maintained, rustic and modern combined. Reasonably priced. Comfortable beds. Loved that it had separate rooms. Definitely a place to go and stay for the duration, not in and out alot. We had a nice time!
