"We had a great time at Pierre's lovely converted barn in Sonac. The kitchen area was excellent - very well equipped, which made it easy to cater for nine people. The pool area was absolutely perfect and a hit with everyone. The huge garden was well used by all, both of our dogs and the children. The rooms also comfortably accommodated everyone. Pierre was an excellent host who made us very welcome. We'd love to return."

The pool is amazing, heated and had a deep part on the centre but not around the edge, (so you could stand at the edge easily). "Beautiful historic property, surrounded by countryside yet short drive to Sarlat. House had everything that we needed. It was relaxing after a day sightseeing to sit by the water next to the old mill with a glass of wine. The hosts Pascal and Elizabeth made us feel very welcome. Many thanks for a lovely week."

"This property was amazing for our children, offering plenty of entertainment, including pétanque, pinball machine, trampoline, swings, playhouse, basketball, swimming pool and table tennis. The children were in their element. The view was incredible and the location perfect for days out and popping to the boulangerie in Meyssac, which was lovely. Collonges la Rouge was such a gorgeous village and only 10minutes away. The only reason we have marked this down is due to the black mould encountered...

"Beautiful villa , beautiful pool but partly my fault for not doing research properly. This villa is part of a working farm (sheep & goats) this caused major issues with flys I means loads of them so much so that you could not eat or drink outside in the beautiful sunshine. It really should be pointed out in the advertisement of this villa . Beware "

"Outside is beautiful - frontage & roof are perfect - but inside is disappointing. A gite standard of years ago. Loved the location - nice rustic, rural, old bread oven house in a beautiful area but basic shower & kitchen NO INTERNET (Description said it had Internet) & just French TV channels. There is not a Visitor/Guest book. Owner very friendly, welcoming and helpful. "

"We stayed here a week in July - family of 4. It was a welcome sight after a long journey, very clean and spacious, and had everything we needed. It is a very quiet location, with just a neighbouring couple in an attached property but we never really heard or saw much of them. We found plenty to do locally and further afield - caves, lovely villages, ancient settlements, châteaux, canoeing, etc Could fill two, three or even four weeks here easily! Owners made sure that everything was ok for us...
