Big Bear Home Review
This home fit our needs more than what we knew before getting there! Amazing space, up and down stairs living areas allowed a place for adults and kids to be in the evenings. The outdoor space around the house allowed us to hike up behind the house and kids play around the house without fear of being too close to the road. Great place to stay! A few things to work on are the beds could use pillow toppers or replaced, all older and springs are definitely felt in many. Check in/out times are too late/early for the money spent and time anticipated to stay. 5pm check in and 10am check out cut into our days we thought we could stay, thankfully the host let us come in early!

Very nice and peaceful
Very nice large property. Plenty of room for the 3 grandsons to play ball and run. The house was large and easily accommodated the whole family. The interior was very nice and even the pickiest of the family really liked the house. We would definitely stay here again. It is in a very quiet area. Unfortunately, we came right after the fires and floods but the areas near the house were not affected and we very much enjoyed the stay. Thank you Hummingbird Cabins for a very nice property.

Not impressed
The house was pretty clean, and the space was nice. The kitchen was nicely stacked. The downstairs living room was so cold and there was no wood for the fireplace. The heating was way off. In one room it was cold and the others it was so hot. All downstairs. The upstairs/ main floor where the dinning room is, it is slanted, kind of feels like it will cave in. The mattresses were really hard or a hole in the middle.

Nice and large but dated
The property was very nice but needs an update. The rooms are very large so there is plenty of room for an extended family. The kitchen was big but it was weird that the freezer is larger and newer than the fridge. There are several TVs in the house for entertainment however the included device(s) were a Roku in the family room that wasn’t hooked up and a TiVo box that also was disconnected. The other TVs had nothing and are not SmartTVs. Remember to bring your own device to take advantage of the TVs. The pool table was nice although the pool cues were slightly bent. A couple cues did not have tips. The foosball table was also nice however we had to go buy balls as it did not have any. The furniture was big, inviting, and comfortable. The outside deck was beautiful however the outside furniture was very old metal furniture that is rusting and in need of replacement. It was so nice to wake up and see deer roaming around the property every morning and we even got a glimpse of an elk family. Overall a nice place for family to meet and spend a vacation together.

Horrible customer service
I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent experience I had while reserving a cabin through your platform in Ruidoso, New Mexico. The cabin I booked seemed lovely on your website, and I was looking forward to a relaxing getaway. However, upon arriving at the property, I quickly realized that the company that owns the cabin was far from accommodating. When I encountered issues with the Wi-Fi and other amenities, I decided to contact Vrbo's customer service for assistance. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. The staff I spoke with seemed disinterested and displayed a lack of empathy towards my concerns. To make matters worse, they were unresponsive to my requests for help and simply brushed off the issue without taking any action. As a loyal customer of Vrbo, I expected better support and service when dealing with such situations. Booking through your platform should guarantee a certain level of reliability and assistance in case of any complications with the property owners. However, I felt left to deal with the rude behavior of the cabin owners on my own, with no real help from Vrbo's customer service team. I understand that Vrbo acts as an intermediary between guests and property owners, but I believe it is your responsibility to ensure that your customers have a pleasant experience throughout the entire process. This includes addressing any issues that arise during the stay promptly and effectively.

Good Place For Large Groups
This was a good place for our large group, but we found out quickly that quite a few of the things we would typically find were not provided. The Blender, Mixer, and whisk were all broken or didn't work. There is no salt and pepper for basic seasoning of meals. The slope of most of the floors was very obvious and we were all spaced to lean against the deck railings. My spouse is a structural engineer and expressed concerns about certain portions of the deck that should be looked into sooner than later. Also for 18 people, the obvious lack of toilet paper and bath towels quickly became apparent. Please consider providing indoor activities such as games and puzzles and providing outdoor activities to keep people occupied while at the home. That being said... the property is beautiful and we enjoyed the location. The access into and out of the property is nice and we all enjoyed the afternoon storms.

Huge family house
My family and I stayed for 3 days, 2 nights. This property was everything we wanted! Just looking at it from the outside it looks like a mansion in the woods. Beautiful views, several bedrooms, massive living and eating area, and a huge triple deck for hanging out. The yard was big enough to have a family wiffle ball game. The kitchen was fully shocked with dishes and supplies to cook every meal. The game room was perfect for the late night hang out, and away from the 3 bedrooms upstairs. My family and I have already began to talk about staying again later in the year.
