"Two families traveling together found this home to be the perfect home base from which to up and down the Rhine to see castles, castles, vineyards, and more castles. This hillside house was very comfortable, featured a lovely terrace surrounded by grapevines. Situated in the small country village of Sauerthal if felt as though our visit brought the most excitement the townsfolk had seen in ages. This is a perfect location for visiting Rhineland if you want a quiet, rustic, authentic experience."

With hindsight, possibly not the best overall location for a family break but we had a good time - Bad Bertrich is more of a recuperation venue and hiking stop. Highlights included a trip to Trier and an afternoon at a crater lake. Lots of beautiful scenery too!"

"A lovely, well-equipped house in a stunning location with its own fabulous garden. Brilliant for our family group of 10. Lots to do locally. The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. Highly recommended."

"Wir buchten als 3 Paare und 2 Einzelpersonen 5 Zimmer, in dem Glauben, dass auch jeder ein eigenes abgeschlossenes Zimmer erhält, wie es beschrieben war. Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass eines der King-/Queensbett-Zimmer fehlte und damit verbunden ein ganzes Zimmer. Deshalb reiste leider einer unserer Freund ab. Was sehr schade war. Man kann aber die Couch im Wohnzimmer ausziehen oder sich Matratzen im Vorraum platzieren. Im Großen und Ganzen muss man aber sagen, dass dies ein sehr...
