Good overnighter for Gotthard
We chose the hotel due to its proximity to the Gotthard tunnel which was beneficial especially when closed due to an accident. The restaurant was good with excellent steak and a local wine. Our room was basic but clean.

Charming hotel in the middle of town
The hotel is in an excellent central location close to the William Tell square with its statue. It’s a lovely older property with a lot of character. For example the doors to the rooms are a little shorter than usual, invoking the feel of times past. It’s well maintained and clean. The breakfast is basic cereal etc. Nearby is the town square with several very good restaurants.

This hotel is very nice and quaint. The staff is wonderful and you get a family B&B feel. Breakfast is very pleasant. Would definitely stay there again, very very pleasant experience.

Swiss hospitality at its best. They gave us a free upgrade to a very nice room. Two excellent meals in friendly hotel restaurant. Convenient free parking. Central location to dining, shopping, church, walkable neighborhood. There was nothing we did not like about this hotel.

Nice hotel and very warm and comfortable.
We arrived quite late in the evening and was given a room but with small windows and we booked a mountain view however the receptionist hardly spoke and understood English so we said we would speak to someone the next day. The lady we spoke to the next day couldn't be more helpful and we moved the room for the second night. We were very pleased with the hotel it was very clean and warm and the breakfast was lovely too. It is a very old building and there is a smell from the lift however we couldn't smell it from our room. There wasn't a lot to do around the area but it was a great stop off hotel. I would return just because of the service we were given.

This hotel is very convenient for a stop en route south as it is close to the motorway. The restaurant is very good. The waitress deserves a special mention for giving us bottle of chef’s home made salad dressing!

Hotel in nice location overlooking River and close to rail station. Local charge per person per night of 1.95 euro entitles you to free bus and rail transport in the black forest area, a brilliant idea!!!

The staff, the parking and the room were great. It has a good restaurant with a good menu very affordable (which is not easy in Switzerland). The town is small and calm.

Excellent hotel, staff, food and location!
While visiting relatives in Switzerland we stayed at the Goldener Schlussel. The staff was very friendly, helpful and even allowed us to store our luggage for a few days with them. Our room was very spacious, clean and well appointed. The daily breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. Our dinner at the hotel was top notch and perfect for our anniversary celebration. The hotel's location is in the middle of town, within walking distance to everything and close to the bus stops. It is in a nice safe area where we felt we could walk at all hours. I would recommend the Goldener Schlussel to everyone.

Das Zimmer war wie ein Hostel Zimmer mit einem Loch in der Decke. Für den Preis hätte ich etwas besseres erwartet. Frühstück und Personal war ok.
