Between Alma and Breckenridge

Depart from the ordinary & unwind in a cabin truly like no other. 17 mi to Breck & 5 mi to Fairplay, you’re close to activities, yet have your own quiet base camp, as the property sits on 5 acres.
Find yourself in awe of the grand logs of two pre-civil war cabins from Miss & Tenn that were disassembled and transported to the Rocky Mountains in 2001 to create a one of a kind experience.

Other things to note

Although the cabin was built in 2001 and has all the amenities you’ll need - it was built with rustic materials and is located in a rural setting, therefore it’s important to note the following:
-Internet can be spotty or even completely down. We have the best/fastest internet available but that doesn’t equate to perfect consistency.
-Cabin sits at above 10,000’ elevation and you could be affected. Research altitude sickness and prepare.
-Be aware and respectful of the wildlife in the area. It’s not uncommon to see moose along the river and they can be aggressive if felt threatened.
-Cabin has rustic/unfinished wood floors and slippers are recommended, especially for kids (occasional splinters).
-4 wheel drive is highly recommended in snowy months. The last section of driveway is slightly steep and ices up. 2wd will not make it up when leaving cabin. 2wd cars could park before the hill and walk down to the cabin but be aware it will be icy/snowy. It is guest’s responsibility to find a towing service if there is a stick vehicle.
-Driveway is plowed in snowy months and the cleaner shovels front steps/access to front door. It may snow again before your arrival and you might have to shovel front steps. You will have to shovel walkway to hot tub.
-One of the great things about the cabin is the fireplace. We ask that you use caution when using the fireplace. Always open the flue before starting a fire and visually confirm the flue is open by looking up into it. Always use the screen to prevent rug damage or even worse a house fire.
-Although we haven’t seen any bears, they are in the general area. Do not leave food/trash on the porch or even in your car, as there is always a possibility of one smelling the good and doing whatever it can to get to it. Food/trash should go inside the cabin or in the trash dumpster outside the cabin.

This cabin delivered!
Beautiful unique property with incredible history. Our family really enjoyed the porch sitting, stargazing and hummingbirds. From the modern kitchen to the loft bedroom everyone had space to enjoy our time together. Thank you, we won't soon forget the enjoyable time we had at your property.

Best Vacation Spot Ever!
Hands down, this is the most beautiful, unique cabin we have ever stayed. Graham was very quick to reply and answer any questions we had during our stay. We especially liked walking down to the river and fishing. The kids loved nightly games of corn hole and I enjoyed my morning quiet time with the hummingbirds on the back porch. The pictures don’t do this place justice. You will not be disappointed.

Family Time in Comfort, Beauty, and Peace
From the moment we arrived at the cabin we were impressed and pleased with the location, the beauty surrounding the cabin, and the uniqueness of the cabin inside and out. It is one of a kind in that it is three relocated cabins built into one! Rustic with modern conveniences and inviting décor make this a memorable experience. The owner/host was very reachable for any need and very helpful with immediate resolutions. In our opinion this cabin is a great place to spend time with family, friends or as a couple wanting a private peaceful retreat with proximity to small mountain towns or the "hustle and Bustle of Breckinridge, CO.

Spirit Line Cabin, Alma, CO
The Spirit Line Cabin is a gem. Reconstructed from three unique old log structures the cabin has been transformed into a truly rustic looking structure with very modern amenities. The owners have provided lots of ambiance including three wood burning fireplaces, a very modern kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, games, vintage vinyl albums to listen two and access to fly fishing on the property. The owner is great and when our power went out for the first night of our stay he graciously offered an additional night's stay to make up for the inconvenience. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the salt water hot tub. I definitely recommend this rental. The only reason I gave the location 4 stars is the proximity and view of highway 9 from the porch. Not really a big deal since traffic is pretty much non-existent after dark.

Gorgeous cabin. Perfect for a family meet up.
We met up with two other families and had the best time ever here at out post-Covid family reunion. It’s delightfully cosy and so very tasteful. Someone put a lot of thought into every little detail here. The kids had a blast exploring the river and loved the attic (?) with the 5 beds. The towns were close enough and the wifi was quite decent. Loved every minute and wished we’d stayed a day longer. Five stars all around.

Amazing little slice of heaven!
We absolutely loved your place, and fully intend on coming back for another stay. It was the perfect mix of a rustic get away, that had the privacy we craved and was still very close and convenient to Breckenridge for fun activities. Too make this already perfect place to enjoy, was the beautiful Blue River running through the property, which we spent quite a bit of time walking its banks and soaking in the most amazing views. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your little slice of heaven! Again, thanks for the wonderful accommodations! Sincerely, Gary Brown

Perfect Cabin the Woods
Really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Its located just far enough away from the town to make you feel really remote while being close enough to get anything you need. I'd highly recommend this cabin to anyone, and the hosts were fantastic to work with as well.
