"Booked two nights on a whim , we both loved it the room was perfect they even made sure we had same room both nights . Food was fantastic as well great service dog friendly which was so good to see . We ran over into late check out and was late for breakfast the staff wasn't fazed at all 10/10 stay definitely recommend "

"Great place to stay, and I often stay here when working locally. Lovely place with great staff and really good food. Was the first time I had issue with noise from other guests though. The place is usually really quiet, so it was just an unlucky night I guess. Great value place though. "

"The cleanliness was actually amazing for the type of property, cleaner that the big chain hotels I usually stay with. Comfortable, reasonably quiet (I was on the ground floor) & very comfortable. I had access to excellent kitchen facilities & a private shower room which was again very clean compared to most big chain hotels I've stayed at. One thing was that the heating went off over night & I woke up pretty cold but I guess as winter gets closer they'll keep it on longer.... I would stay again...

"Well placed in centre of Bakewell. Friendly staff. Nice large double bedroom with en suite. As they don't serve breakfast there were a couple of complimentary porridge pots and breakfast biscuits. Tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of t-bags, milk, coffee and hot chocolate sachets with packets of biscuits. Hallway outside room decoration was looking a bit tired. Had a very nice evening meal in the pub"

"Our stay was very comfortable and it was a great location for our stopover between Scotland and Devon. The host was very efficient, friendly and accommodating to our needs. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside was the en suite bathroom which had a sensor light. This made any night time toilet trips impossible to make without waking someone up with the light and extractor fan. The shower pressure was very weak & the sink was tiny. All completely clean and functional...
