"We booked a last minute one night getaway to Langley Castle and the whole experience was perfect. Every member of staff was friendly and kind without being too attentive / disturbing us. The room was lovely with lots of little added touches. The hotel is very dog friendly and our Shiba had a lovely time! The castle is impressive and the woodlands around it are very pretty. The Castle View room was a good size with a lovely set of high back chairs beside a table - perfect for playing cards! The drawing room and bar area is very unique within the castle and dogs can come in to that space. Finally the evening meal and breakfast in the dining room were delicious! "

"I mean, Northumberland is a beautiful place, and this property was no less beautiful. It is the most eco-conscious hotel we've ever stayed in, with it's own garden, solar panels. and I believe a rain catcher? There's so much wildlife in the area, bird feeders and cats roaming around. We got lucky and there was a bit of clear sky our second night, so we headed to the observatory and got to spots some stars since it's in a Dark Sky Park. It was also a great distance to all the sights in the area, particularly Hadrian's Wall and the Roman Forts. Breakfast was fantastic, staff was friendly, food and drink were great. An overalls really fantastic stay."

"We had had two very nice nights’ stay at the Fleece as part of a tour of Hadrian’s wall. The pub/hotel has been refurbished to a high standard with quality materials, joinery and fittings. We stayed in a superior room that was very well maintained and much larger than we expected. We ate breakfast both mornings. There was a buffet (cereals, juice, toast, pastries, yoghurt, etc.) and a good range of dishes cooked to order. Dinner was also excellent with a good choice, high quality food and very good service. The staff on the first day were extremely good - professional, experienced and attentive. The second day there were different staff who were less professional and less experienced, but it didn’t spoil the stay. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend it. "

"From entering the beautiful stone entrance hall into the great hall we knew we were in for a treat. The Easter decorations were exquisite and fun, the interior design and decor full of history and class showing it’s heritage in full glory. The staff could not have been more help full with welcome cocktail to genuinely wanting to make our stay a memorable and worthy experience. The dining was superb in both restaurants deserving of its awards. The spa facilities happily helped us relax and the treatments for my wife left her glowing and radiant. The bar facilities in the hotel were elegant overlooking the golf course providing wonderful vista’s over well kept greens. Thank you to all the staff who made our stay memorable and wanting more, at which point suffice to say, we will be back."
