"Had a comfortable couple of nights at the hotel. Nice comfy bed, clean and well maintained room. Excellent breakfast. Just be aware that they appear to allow enormous school groups of teenagers to stay, who are given variable levels of supervision by their teachers. So, until they’re in bed, there was a lot of moving around, going in and out of rooms, slamming doors etc. Also, despite not going to bed until late, somehow they all managed to be at Breakfast at 0630 along with everybody...

"The hotel was nice, with lovely architecture (I loved the inside stairs; US hotels frequently have hideous utilitarian staircases). The bathroom in our room didn’t have a lot of counter space, and there are 5 steps up from the street which were a bit of a struggle with my suitcase, but otherwise, it was very nice, with a pretty view (and a flower box) out the window. The breakfast was lavish and varied, with dessert foods as well as more usual breakfast fare. "
