"Warm welcome from Estelle with helpful guidance for local points of interest and restaurants. Shower was very good with hot water operating without any wait time. Breakfast was all of good quality, home made approach with apples pick from her tree each morning, and cooked eggs from her free range hens were offered. Very nice secure countryside house."

(I’d recommend contacting owners - you often need a code for locked gates to get quai side - they don’t give you this information so you need to request it) we found the setting beautiful. Loved the decor in the Art Deco room of the Barge. The hosts provide everything needed, even putting milk, butter and orange juice in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch. "Our second visit to Apparteo Bordeaux and equally enjoyable! The room on the top floor was spacious, clean, well equipped and comfortable with a great terrace for outdoor dining - very relaxing and appreciated as it was 30C+. A lot of renovation of the surrounding area makes for a very pleasant stay with loads of waterside restaurants, the lovely Halles de Bacalan and, of course the Cite du Vin. "Second time staying here. Did arrive in time to use the pool this time but still a good stay. Room had all we needed, was comfortable and clean. Perfect for an overnight stay whilst travelling back to the UK from Spain with a dog. Nice walk with the dog around the two small lakes and spotted two otters! Really handy to have a well- stocked supermarket in the car park! Will stay here again"

"We known this is a place just to stopover for a night rest but, the management could be a bit more proud, the all place stinks, the rooms are so dirty, air conditioning not working and light bulbs that are just loose and don’t work. The bed was quite comfortable but pillows are so small that is like sleeping without it. Bath towels 😳😳😳 so small that if you cover your back you can see the front and the other way around.
