"Everything about this property is lovely, the rooms, the grounds, the ownership and staff. The property has a beautiful view. We had a wonderful breakfast each morning and everyone was very accommodating. Our room was spacious and very clean. The owner was friendly and helpful with every question and request. We came by train and didn't need a car, the walk into town is about five minutes and the owner will call a taxi if needed. There is parking if you do have a car. We took a tour of some of the wineries of the Douro Valley through a separate company and it was the best day of our trip. Regua is lovely and we can't wait to return!"

"OMGosh this is the prettiest hotel. Right on the Douro River. Every nook is a surprise. All the rooms are slightly different so choose wisely and be specific. We had a wonderful dinner in the the restaurant. All the food was very good, just be aware if you have food restrictions etc. as "no dairy/milk" seems to be get confused. Just ask to speak to someone who knows as they actually pride themselves on being able to accomodate Gluten and Dairy free . Having said this, the breakfast is super nicely done. You will not be dissappointed."

"Beautiful property with a great wine tour. Breakfast was delicious as well and it had a nice bar. There are wild peacocks and pea hens running around and the spa has some unusual treatments. Loved this stay!"
