"Absolutely stunning place! Came with my dog and my sister for our yearly girls' trip, and it was amazing. The pond was beautiful; we sat out on the deck for dinner just about every night and watched the sunset. The location is excellent as well, and we really enjoyed all the nearby parks and trails."

"The property was lovely, and access to the beach from the backyard... priceless. Loved the ability to bring our pup along for the weekend. Great views and beautiful sunsets. A few things could use a little TLC, and the listing updated to reflect. Also a note that the septic system has a bit of an offputting sulfur smell, but totally appreciated the hot/cold water filter provided. "

"This place has everything. It's clean, with room to navigate room to room. The personal touches are amazing. They even had a little jar of mini marshmallows for the hot chocolate! Don't miss the trails behind the house and do try the sauna. Instructions in the "green book" are very helpful for setting up sauna, TV, temperature control and the fireplace. "

"We had a great and relaxing time! Kitchen is well stocked and home is clean inside and out. We were able to operate the grill and hot tub easily. Would definitely stay again!"

"What a relaxing and fantastic weekend we had! The house was super clean and so cozy. Great fireplace and the views of the lake were spectacular! Only 1 bathroom, but we made it work - and there is a separate bedroom above the garage. Great privacy. The kitchen was well laid out and had almost everything we needed. Loved the upstairs loft for hanging out and relaxing! Looking forward to another stay in the future! Thanks Connie!"

"Absolutely loved my stay here. I was looking for a nice place to escape from everything and this was perfect! Beautiful views of the deck, and on the beach, and even driving to the house. Super clean and simply, yet perfectly decorated. Stocked with anything you could need. Very responsive and helpful hosts, and clear directions listed. I would strongly recommend visiting this beautiful, quaint island and staying at the Huckleberry!"

"Very cute downstairs apt connected to awesome brew pub! A couple small things could have improved the stay: new pillows and bringing the beds up off the floor. Updating the flooring would also make a huge difference. Other than that, it was a very cute place. Great people and fabulous setting/location!"

"We liked that the hotel was close to Bellingham, yet not near the mall. I liked that it was a little further out but didn’t feel like a long drive. It was clean and felt more modern than the hotels closer to Western. We’d stay there again. We didn’t eat at the restaurants on property but when I checked in, the woman gave me a complete rundown of them and they sounded great!! The nonsmoking room had the slightest hint of a smokey hotel but not enough to bother us (and I’m very sensitive to smoke). The beds were very comfortable and I like when the shower is separate from the sink area. For Family Weekend, most of the hotels hiked up their prices, yet this place remained reasonable. "
