Clean, quietest spot on the lake, calm water, quick communication, great location, our kids loved fishing off the docks between hockey games.
Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin.
We had some trouble with the keyless entry, but owners were easy to work with, There is plenty of space and very comfortable. Booked again for next year
As this lakes area is my favorite place in the world, I knew I would enjoy being up here. This property was just right for lots of lake time and enjoying our annual gathering of friends who are like family. You can't go wrong staying here if you love to spend time in/on/around the lake. Also, the counter height in the kitchen was amazing! Good for above average height people, lol
We were there for sad circumstances but the accommodation was very nice. We had 6 adults and with the upstairs (nearly its own apartment) we had plenty of space. The patio looking out on the lake was very peaceful for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Bed were comfortable and showers had great water pressure (nothing worse than a wimpy shower). Would love to return with better circumstances and more time.
Our family thought this property was great. The location, accommodations, docks and fishing were wonderful. We would stay there again. Check-in was smooth, and any questions we had were answered quickly. The beds were a little difficult to get out of by an elderly couple in our group as the beds are low but the beds were comfortable. It was a great vacation.
We enjoyed our stay! Having a 90yr grandma and 3 others with bad knees or back. We found this place helpful to have very few steps. Nice deck to sit on and watch the kids swim in the clear lake. Not many weeds by dock. We also went over to sandbar across lake. We had great weather. Just one storm day. Quick access to town and winery. Biking was 3 miles to get to the trail. We got in 100 miles biking for the week! We love the Alex area! With our unusual warm week the upstairs did get warm for sleeping at night. Overall we had a great stay! Found the lake to be quiet (could SUP and kayak) clear, and fun to go between the lakes. Water was up so some beaches did have less sand than normal. Thank you!!
We had so much fun at this lake house in Alexandria! The kids caught fish from the docks and spent hours in the water playing on the lily pad. The house offered enough bedrooms to keep everyone comfortable. The hosts were very responsive to our little questions.
We had six adults and three children that stayed. The house was perfect for our group. Kristen was great and very helpful. The outdoor space and access to the lake was great for children . We can’t wait to go back next year!
We enjoyed the property immensely.
LOCATION:
If you put a target on the Alexandria Lakes Region, this property would be in the center. We had family on East Lake Carlos, and more staying at Arrowwood Resort. This house was equidistant between the two. It has easy access to town for quick grocery runs and coffee. Close to the most popular golf courses. Short distance to restaurants. Off the dock we were right at the crossroads to the entire chain of lakes.
ACCOMODATIONS:
We spent a large amount of our early day in the wonderful 3 or 4 season porch. Morning coffee, card games, or just chillin with the windows open and watching the lake. There is a huge yard for activities and entertaining, an oversized deck, and plenty of lakeshore. Indoor/outdoor dining is plentiful.
Sleeping arrangements were quite comfortable. All beds are new. The downstairs master is set up with two queen beds and has an en-suite bath. Still plenty of floor space. An additional downstairs bedroom is serviced by a large hallway bath/shower with dual sinks and lots of space. Upstairs they have two large bedrooms. Our grown boys wanted their own beds so we had abundant room to add a blow-up queen. A pull-out queen couch in the upstairs living room is comfortable and linens provided. Full bath services the upstairs. There is a nice little kitchen and dining space upstairs as well.
Kitchen was large and had room for multiple cooks. Appliances are new. All told there are three refrigerators for your food and drinks. We had one large dinner where we utilized the downstairs 5-burner stove and kept our side-dishes simmering on the small upstairs stove. The gas oven is consistent and cooked up some perfect pizzas. The kitchen is well stocked and we never fell short of utensils or serving dishes.
WORK FROM HOME:
Besides everything The Lakes Area has to offer, we did have to get some work done as well. There is cable television both upstairs and down. We never did reach the limits of the WiFi. Our older son is a football sports analyst so he really enjoyed having his multiple screen system setup in the upstairs dining where he could still enjoy the breeze off the lake. At the same time we had an online video board meeting on the porch, and video chat going on in the dining room.
HOSTS:
Kristen and Darrin are local business owners and attentive to any needs you may have.
Large kitchen and living space. Four bedrooms. Three baths. Upstairs suite contained and extra kitchen space and could serve a small family by itself. Outside space was great for family gatherings. Picnics on the waterfront were a nightly occurrence.
Would be nice to have a bedside table lamp. Walking in the dark to get in bed, or getting out of bed to turn off the lights after reading was a bit of a hassle.
