Carnegie Bay Cottage is ideally located within walking distance of downtown Alexandria Bay, where you'll find restaurants, marinas, entertainment, boat tours, golf, and much more. Situated on the water of Carnegie Bay, the Cottage provides easy access to Boldt Castle on the St. Lawrence River.

The Cottage, a gateway to adventure for you and your family, is a luxurious retreat. It offers a high-end luxury home, a large front deck with stunning water views, a screened-in back porch, plenty of deep-water docking, a family room and living room, a Samsung large-screen TV with surround sound, and a large yard for outdoor games and activities. With various outdoor activities at your doorstep, you can embark on exciting adventures and create lasting memories with your family.

The rental rate is based on 12 people or less, with an extra charge of $250 per person. The maximum capacity is 14 people.

Carnegie Bay Cottage is a luxurious year-round home with central air conditioning and heating. The kitchen features custom granite countertops and is well-appointed with a stainless steel refrigerator, built-in ice maker, stainless steel induction stove, and built-in microwave. Additional amenities include a Keurig coffee maker, a 10-cup coffee maker, a 4-slice toaster, blenders, crockpots, a bartender set, pantry items, bakeware, and more.

The dining table seats 10 and 5 more on the kitchen island. The living room includes a stereo HD TV with a dish and internet—the office stores books and games. The bedrooms consist of large closets and ceiling fans. We have new front-load washers & dryers on the first and ground floors.

The property features ample parking for cars, boat trailers, and dock space for boats and jet skis. The house is on a private 1-acre lot within walking distance of restaurants and nightlife.

Alexandria Bay offers a wide variety of activities within a short distance. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker interested in water skiing, fishing, boating or a history enthusiast eager to explore the Boldt and Singer Castles, there’s something for everyone. The fun doesn’t end there; you can enjoy yacht clubs, paddleboarding, windsurfing, diving, lighthouses, theaters, distilleries, wineries, and more.

Additionally, Alexandria Bay is just a short boat or car ride away from attractions such as the Clayton Boat Museum and Opera House, Cape Vincent, Gananoque Casino, Kingston, and opportunities for whitewater rafting in Watertown and Brockville. The area is also close to Ogdensburg and the scenic Adirondack Mountains. Great time on the river
The home is clean and the kitchen has everything you need to cook. Property owners attentive and easy to talk to. We rented the boat they had available and it was a must to get around and see the beauty of the river. You can walk into town from the property which is nice. Would recommend this home.

Great House for Extended Family
This is the perfect house for a large group! Lots of opportunities to be together but the layout also allows for privacy. We so enjoyed the view and all the extras. The host is very attentive and responsive.

Carnegie Bay Cottage
Such a beautiful place for our family to be together for a week. The cottage easily accommodated our combined family of 13. It was clean and well stocked with everything needed for cooking and playing games. The sleeping arrangements were perfect with plenty of bathrooms for a big group. The area is very charming with a cute town within walking distance. The owners quickly responded to all of my questions. We really enjoyed our time there and hope to return someday!

Excellent provision. Great setting. Loved sitting on the lawn. More than enough space for our 11 seniors. Limited steps outside and multiple entrances. Enjoyed kayak and corn hole and closeness to pickleball and ABay.

Great Family Vacation
The house was great! Beautiful and well appointed. Pictures are spot on. Everyone had their own space and were able to be together without feeling like we were on top of each other. Location is ideal, short walk to Alex Bay and very near Golf Course. The owners were great to deal with and very responsive throughout our stay. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic Family Vacation
This house was perfect for our needs. We had 12 people and everyone had their space. It was very clean and well equipped, especially the kitchen. The boat dock was important to us and we couldn't have asked for it be more convenient. The kayaks were used almost daily as was the fire pit. There are lots of chairs available for sitting on the deck or around the fire pit. Great location for walking into town. It's obvious that Paul and Sue take pride in their property. Paul was very responsive when we had questions. A very pleasant experience all around.

Got the place to host family for a week. Beautiful setting, modern and comfortable accommodations. Close to town, restaurants and shopping really convenient. If you rent this property, get a boat, easy access to the river and all the attractions! Paul and Sue are super hosts! Definitely will be a return visitor.

Perfect Family Retreat
This property is beautiful and exactly as advertised. It is spacious and clean with everything you would ever need. We only went out one night because it was easier to stay in and everything we needed to cook was at our disposal. Plenty of room for boats and the surroundings are very bucolic. Just a 15 minute walk into town. Highly recommend and looking forward to staying again next year,

Excellent experience!
The property was all and more of what was advertised. Very clean, spacious inside and out, and a load of amenities. Property owner was very helpful and always available by text or phone if necessary. We did not need a lot of contact with the owner. They really laid everything out nicely. Accessibility to downtown Alexandria Bay was super easy. Take a boat, five-minute ride by vehicle, or a very nice 15-minute walk into downtown! Would highly recommend this property!

Perfect Vacation and Great Experience
This property is not your typical "cottage", but a beautiful house. This home was everything that was advertised and more. This was the first time that I had rented a home for a family vacation, and I was extremely pleased with the entire experience. The home was very comfortable, and there was plenty of space for the 8 of us. It could easily accommodate 12 as advertised. The back deck was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy morning coffee and a glass of wine later in the day. The property manager/caretaker and owner were very easy to deal with. The property owner even called me to check in and make sure that everything was good. You can tell that the owner takes great pride in his property. I would certainly rent this property again and certainly recommend this house to others. 5Stars!!!

I can't say enough about Carnegie Bay Cottage. The home was beautiful, clean, and very well appointed. Perfect location and close to everywhere you want to go. Pride of ownership shows in this home. Melody was a dream; so helpful in every possible way - from suggestions on where to eat, what to see, and where the best swimming spots are. We would definitely stay again!

Big house on the river
The house is clean and modern with a spacious living and dining room. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with all manner of pots, pans, coffee makers, containers, and gadgets. The back lawn has plenty of room for games. The location is a narrow bay off the river which allows for easy docking of a boat. The owner was eager to make our week-long stay pleasant and enjoyable.

The house was immaculate and very comfortable. The kitchen was great to cook in and had everything you could need. The owner Paul is very hospitable and the caretaker Melody is very helpful too. Wonderful accomodations and attention to detail!
We had seven people staying for four nights (four adults, three children) and the house was great. Every time someone thought we had forgotten something we found it already at the house (coffee filters, BBQ equipment, sandwich griller...). This house is easily accessible to downtown (less than two mile walk), nice bay area for kayaking, fishing off the dock, it is just a nice place all around. Beatiful deck for coffee in the morning, unwinding in the evening. Paul and the caretaker, Melody, were great as well. The house alarm went off the last night we were there and Paul called immediately to make sure everything was OK (which it was, it must have been a glitch in the system). Completely recommend this house if you are looking for a place in or around Alexandria Bay.

Excellent property within walking distance to Alexandria Bay downtown restaurants and shops. Private dock on a protected bay with option for watercraft rental. My family really enjoyed paddling on the 3 kayaks. The house is immaculate, has central air and is very comfortably furnished. Property management was very accommodating and professional. We highly recommend this home. .

The house is in a good location, right on the water and easy to get to all that the 1000 Islands have to offer. Paul, the owner was very welcoming and wants to insure that renters enjoy the property.
