"Nous y avons passé 15 jours en famille, tout était parfait, l’accueil était chaleureux et les propriétaires sont restés disponibles mais très discret pour nous conseiller sur les différents activités de la région. La maison est grande avec tout ce qu’il fallait pour notre famille, et la piscine un grand plus. Le cadre agréable pour se reposer dans un beau jardin bien entretenu. Weather was not quite warm enough for the pool but it was very tempting and wonderful to have it available. "We spent two nights in August at this villa and would have liked to stay longer. It's well equipped and very comfortable, and although there were only three of us there is plenty of room for six people. The villa is about a 20 mins walk to the beach if you don't want to drive. Lucilia, our host was there at the same time and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality - the confiture was delicious!"

"The house is just minutes from the beach. Even in early August the beach is not crowded. Water temperatures were around 16 C. The beach gets windy in the afternoon when kite surfers start. There are life guards which adds extra safety. The little town is cute with restaurants, beach cafes and a little grocery store. A train to Porto runs a few times a day. The house itself has some charming aspects such as the ocean view and the hardwood floor. The kitchen has a lot of useful things....

"This is a great retreat. The house is an odd set up, but was very fun. The location to the city was nice. The beaches nice. Close to a grocery store and food options. Very happy with our choice here."

"We all had an enjoyable stay, the house was spacious, well equipped and in a quiet residential area with few shops, bars and restaurants nearby. The pool and garden were great for the kids and the metro nearby was handy for trips into Porto. Maria was a great host and very communicative, regarding any questions we had."

"We have a large family consisting of married couples and some with children and so we offered it is an open house to arrive and depart when you want over the three weeks that we hired the property in August and it did not disappoint. A 50 minute taxi ride from Porto we spent the first two weeks just using Ubers to get into Viana which is about a 10 minute drive away and the amazing beaches which straddle each side of the town, the final week we did hire a car. "The villa was very well planned, the bedrooms and the living room were separated, the living room voices did not come into the bedrooms, all bedrooms had their own bathrooms and there was also a shared toilet, the pool was warm, but the weather was bad, restaurants nearby, grocery stores a short drive away, everything was great except the weather :), Thank You Gilles and Joelle!"

"We had a wonderful time at Casa da Armada and the villa was spacious and comfortable. Our host was responsive and friendly from the time we decide to rent the villa all the way to our checkout. We loved the outdoor dining table under the grape vines. It is located in a rural setting but is only about 10 min car ride to town for groceries, restaurants and any other needs. Upon our arrival, we noticed that pool needed some cleaning. After notifying the host, a pool technician was sent the next day...

"Dino and Ines were the perfect hosts, they could not have done more for us. On our first night they even took us out to a restaurant for a super meal before showing us around Povao de Vazim. They pointed out the local supermarkets, metro station, parking and took us on a tour of the town. The house had everything that we could have wanted together with bread, cheese, a nice bottle of wine and even a home baked cake. Dino sent us links for places of interest nearby as well as recommended...

"Great location. If you want to walk, this is the place to do it. Beautiful and historic. Very clean but bed very uncomfortable. We also had little or no service during our 8 night stay. We had to find clean sheets and towels midway through our stay and change our on linens. If you don’t mind doing this, you’ll be okay. If you want service during your stay this place won’t make you happy. But again, locates phenomenal!"

"This guy needs to communicate with guests better. I requested how to get in the day before, then twice the morning of my arrival. I didn't hear from him until 2:30 pm and check in was at 3. I was in Braga at that point and had to go wait in a cafe until I got his email. (It was raining) When I showed up at the place, a couple was outside trying to get in. Then later, after I returned around 8 pm, another couple was outside who couldn't get in. I let them in."
