The Neighborhood:
The Bricklight District is located on Central and Harvard Blvd. It is surrounded by many other points of interest including the University of New Mexico, CNM, Nob Hill and Downtown Albuquerque. The area offers numerous restaurants and shops that are unique to the Bricklight District. While exploring the area, you may stumble upon a painted mural or two done by local artists. The Bricklight District is very recognizable due to its exterior red brick design.

This is an Urban area, as with any major city, has a large population of eccentric, transient, and homeless people. This is something for you to be aware of but not alarmed by. When we get the chance we stay in this apartment with our two young boys and feel completely safe. In addition, the Brick Light Apartments have security onsite or on call.

Our location has a Walk Score of 89 out of 100. This location is Very Walkable so most errands can be accomplished on foot.

Balloon festival weekend
The apartment is located in a safe area and we did feel Safe .. apartment was very clean and our host was very fast to get back to us with any concerns we might have had.. just make sure the bed is on the correct side .. the first night we didn't realize the cleaners had it on the wrong side which made for a very comfortable sleeping night.. once we figured it out and flipped it, the bed was super cozy .. would stay here again .

Great apartment
The overall appearance was great. I really liked the theme. Everything was perfectly clean and well appointed. I felt secure in the building because of gated community however outside of the gates was scary. The people hanging around at all hours of the night and making noise was not good. The loud music from 10pm to 4 am was terrible.

I wanted to stay longer!
Well designed space that seemed roomy for a studio. Maybe it was the nice high ceilings? Taryn was quick to thoughtfully respond to any questions I had. I stayed for two weeks, and would have stayed longer, but it was already booked for the week after me. I will look to stay here again if I am in Albuquerque.

Very cool spot
This was a great place to stay. Very modern and if you’re a music lover you’ll enjoy vinyl records on the walls and musical insturuments scattered about. The host was easy to work with and quickly responded to questions. The bathroom had very nice tiling and the ceilings were high and luxurious. Would stay again!

Home away from home
Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Came into town for a week-long teacher training and this was perfect for my needs. Close to campus, stores, restaurants, and recreational areas. Parking readily available next to the complex. Very clean and comfortable. Pleased to have access to a full kitchen and some cooking supplies. Property manager was very helpful and communicative leading up to and during my stay. One thing to note, be aware this is on the bottom floor of a three level studio apartment complex; communal noise and business noise is to be expected, but not overbearing. Highly recommend this cozy studio and would not hesitate to return.

Great Place in a Great Location with Some Minor Issues
I stayed here for about a Month & overall had a good experience. There were a few things that could have been better, but I would still recommend it to others - especially short term The Good The location is great as you are right across the street from UNM, directly next to a couple of restaurants and a short walk to Nob Hill. It's a short trip to downtown, old town and the airport. You are in a city, so you will see people who are unhoused, but I never felt in danger. The place itself is nice; it's a studio, but it is a large one. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, plates, and had a few cooking essentials such as olive oil, spices, etc. The decorations are fun and I really appreciated having a desk for work. The Parking was convenient and I never had an issue finding a space. Could Be Better There were two issues the popped up while I was there and unfortunately they are both not due to the owner. 1) The internet was flakey at times. The first 2 weeks that I was there it was pretty stable, occasionally having buffering issues while streaming, but it would usually recover and it didn't interfere with my work. Starting about the 3rd week, it started having more issues with buffering and at times being unusable for minutes at a time (annoying for work conference call interruptions). Towards the end of the 3rd week, the internet went out for ~6 hours in the middle of a workday. I tried resetting the modem to no avail and confirmed there was a Comcast outage. It eventually came back, but the random hiccups continued. It then went out for most of the day again a few days later. 2) The noise coming from Cheba Hut. The listing says that you are in a city and should expect city noises; I have lived in a cities the last 15+ years, but this was not city noises. The wall where the bed is, is shared with the Cheba Hut. At first it wasn't too bad, I could hear the music at night but with earplugs and white noise I could sleep w/o issues, but about 2 weeks in it got noticeably louder after closing (12AM every night) to the point that even with ear plugs and white noise going, I would be woken up. I didnt realize it was Cheba Hut and brought it up with the landlord and we had several email communications about it, but it was never resolved. Considering I didn't really have any issues the first 2 weeks, I might have just had bad luck the last 2 and even then I still recommend; I just thought it was important to point these out in my review.

Groovy home away from home
Stayed here the last weekend in January and would totally stay here again each time. Home was excellent and conveniently located. Gated community, nearby parking, keyless access, and nearby eateries. Clean, modern, and fun vibe. This home included all the necessary amenities and host was amazing. Wish I could have had a longer stay in Albuquerque…but plan to come back again.!

Great space and location!
As a solo traveler, this space was very well suited for me. It was easy to get to, there were a lot of restaurants around for when I did not want to cook, and the space had all I needed. I would stay here again when in Albuquerque.

Spent 2 months here for an internship. Great little apartment which is centrally located to just about everything. A lot of great food spots you can walk to. Also right next to the main roads making every trip a fairly quick one. The apartment was clean and well kept. 9/10 recommend.

Nice spot, very convenient
We arrived late at night and the neighborhood is a little sketchy, so initially I was a little worried. However, the complex is gated and there is a very nice patio, fountain and chairs to enjoy the perfect weather. We spent every night relaxing there and it was a huge perk. It’s also a block from UNM campus, so its ideal for walking. The owner was very responsive and helpful, the property is clean and the kitchen had what we needed to be able to cook. I certainly will try to stay here again when we return to UNM in the future.

Nice place.
Very comfortable and clean apartment. Stayed 2 weeks and had everything I needed. Owners were great and provided every detail such as parking, directions, area restaurants, etc. Convenient to lots of restaurants, coffee shops and even a local craft brewery all within walking distance. I return to Albuquerque off an on for work and would stay there again.
