Located less than five miles from Hickory Run state park, you can swim in the lake, hike the nature trails, view the relaxing waterfalls, and explore boulder field. In the winter months you can hit the slopes at Jack Frost Big Boulder less than five miles away. Bears Boards n' Boots was made to entertain with a large deck and fire pit with enough to seat twelve.

Visited with a group of friends from highschool during our breaks from college. We all fell in love with the couch (multiple of us slept there instead of our beds by accident). Overall great spot to hang out after long day at Jim Thorpe.

Excellent home and location

Owners were super easy to contact if needed, very friendly. Large home that can easily accommodate 8-10 people. Large and private property with an amazing deck, spectacular firepit area, and large open areas for wiffle ball games, frisbee, etc.

Cozy home in the woods.

The property was nice and beautifully decorated! We enjoyed the fire pit area! We made good use Of the kitchen, some items were missing but we purchased them and left them behind for the next guests to use.

A wonderful family place

We absolutely loved our stay here. The property was beautiful, the house was so spacious and comfortable. There was lots to do nearby, so many lovely places to see. We ventured into the town of Jim Thorpe, which was amazing. The kids also loved the boulder field and the waterfall. We would highly recommend this place to others, and would love to visit again.

This was an amazing stay full of peace and quiet my family enjoy all the space and comfort that this cabin have communication with owners was no a problem nice size kitchen 2 bathrooms and 1/2 room for everybody and more we enjoy the view and movies this family retreat was something to treasure thanks a lot for letting us inn to tour amazing cabin looking forward to come back on summer thanks again you guys have a lovely home 5 stars I recommended to anybody who is looking for a quiet place away from everything.

Loved this rental! Super spacious inside and the outside space was a huge bonus. The setting was private with a huge deck overlooking the beautiful countryside. It’s centrally located amongst several local attractions.

Our home away from home

This is our families 3rd stay at this home. I cannot possibly say enough good things about it. It’s very spacious, has everything you need and is so peaceful. We travel every February to the area for a family snowboarding trip and this is always our place to stay. We have a wonderful time every trip and hope to enjoy this place for many more years to come. Relaxation

Great house, property, location. Our bed was very comfortable and it was a very quiet location. Many dear around including a bear walking across the yard. Amazing! We enjoyed walks down the beautiful country road and relaxing on the comfortable couches after our daily hikes.

Another enjoyable stay at "The Boots"

This was our second time staying at house. Comfortable and very convenient to Hickory Run State Park. When we couldn't enjoy the outdoors because of the rain, we were able to gather around the TV downstairs, and use the downstairs table for board games. Thank you Shawn and Leah!

A Perfect Pocono Retreat – Highly Recommend!

Bears Boards n' Boots was exactly what we needed for a relaxing escape to the Poconos. From the moment we arrived, the house felt warm and inviting. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully set up for a stress-free stay.One of the standout features was the layout. With three separate living areas, each with cozy couches, there was plenty of space for both kids and adults to spread out and do their own thing. The outdoor setup was just as impressive, the fire pit and spacious deck made for great evenings outside. While the rain kept us from spending much time outdoors, the swings around the fire pit were such a fun addition, and the kids absolutely loved them! The deck itself is huge and offers a peaceful view of the trees and forest.The location is another big plus, close to Hickory Run State Park, where we enjoyed hiking and nature walks. If you're looking for a well-located, peaceful stay in the Poconos with easy access to outdoor activities, Bears Boards n' Boots is a great choice. Perfect getaway!

Perfectly located to Hickory Run State Park, the Crossings Outlets, Big Boulder and Pocono Raceway, it is a must stay! If you like mini golf and ice cream stop by 940 Golf N Fun...great for all ages! While relaxing out back on the large deck we seen many deer and other wild life! The host Leah was quick to answer any questions and was very kind. I would definitely recommend staying in this lovely home!
