This hotel has always been our family spot when visiting Albany, GA for decades. However, the property has gone down significantly and is in great need of updates and repair. The bed mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, bed linen was worn out, several dresser drawers were peeling and chipped and couldn’t close all the way. Worst of all, our room door wouldn’t properly close- had to slam it very hard multiple times and hoped for the best. We had a 3-night stay there, and we couldn’t find another hotel because everything was fully booked due to evacuations in surrounding areas from Hurricane Helene. I truly hope Country Inn invests in their property to get it back to the hotel my family loved. With all of this said, the staff was still very helpful and as pleasant as always! The great staff is the primary reason I’m rating the hotel with 2 stars instead of 1 star.
