The Setting Is Just Perfect: Villa 180sqm,6 km From Beach, Private Pool, Gardens

The elegance of this house is its comfortable simplicity. It's situated at 380 mt sea level in the bonny, quiet hills of Alassio - the famous tourist beach resort - far from us, only a ten-minute drive. The house belongs to the private Borgo (its first document is dated 1522), closed on the property of an ancient castle. It comprises three country houses: Villa la NiCChia and Il Gombo, a private house for our family. It's a part of a private Borgo, closed in the property of an ancient castle. Please note that each house has its entrance, garden, pool, chill-out area, BBQ, and car parking. The Villa Maclura's pool will be open in April; only our guests will decide if they will enjoy the cold water or only the sun! Four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a lounge, and a large kitchen on three floors for the exclusive use of guests. A small apartment on the top floor of the house - villa la NiCChia - next door is only for us; we use it to welcome our guests and provide all the necessary assistance for a relaxing stay. The house, founded initially as a farmhouse, is now an elegant small mansion after a recent, complete and careful renovation: care in choosing the colors and accessories, furniture, recovering all original materials - terracotta floors, wooden beams at sight, stone, ancient staircase in slate (dating from the 9th century AD!), fireplace. Everything reminds us of the past, such as our medieval tower, which the City of Alassio wanted as a symbol of the town.
PLEASE NOTE

*Villa La Maclura is part of a single property, the ancient Borgo of the family castle; it comprises three detached but close houses and is 5.5 km from the center of Alassio. You can reach it by driving a typical Ligurian road, with two lanes and a certain number of curves, except for the last stretch (1,2 km), which is narrower for orographic reasons.
*Reading and following the house rules are part of the rental agreement. You will receive both before you come.
*Flexibility is our policy about many things, mainly two extra fees we want you to pay as you go. So, we also apply it regarding the additional fee due for good LPG heating (1), which we cannot quantify a priori. We will calculate the consumption with you on the morning of departure; the cost could be € 5,5 per m3.
The final cleaning cost (2) is not visible on the website payment summary because it varies according to the number of people and the number of nights stayed. The minimum payment is € 100, and the maximum is € 160, to be paid on the morning of departure. The Tourist Tax is 1 € per person per night. For your information, Alassio's Municipality Authority deliberated on accepting tourist tax payments only from the property's owner, not from any platform.

Beautiful home, delightful hosts!
We loved everything about our stay. The location is perfection. The space beautifully created; it is very clean and more than comfortable with beautiful views. The children spent hours in the pool and looking for lizards. The kitchen has everything you need. The beds were very comfortable. It’s a dream vacation home. We would have stayed longer if we could. Elisa and Ricardo were warm, caring, helpful. We would love to return.

Beautiful property in the hills.
The property is beautiful and the setting is stunning with amazing views out to sea. Be prepared for the 15 min drive up small mountain roads from Alassio, lots of blind corners and hair-pin bends which mean you don’t pop out for milk etc easily. The property manager is on site and is helpful if you need beach or shopping suggestions. The facilities at the property are good and our children (8,11,13) loved the pool. There is however a lot of concern from the property manager about noise around the pool area, which in the end left our children feeling uncomfortable. This was unfortunate and unexpected in a property marketed as family-friendly.

wunderschöner Aufenthalt
Wir verbrachten eine Woche mit Freunden im Ferienhaus. Es war durchweg wunderbar. Das Haus liegt sehr hoch in den Bergen, ca. 15 Min vom Ortskern entfernt. Wir waren zu 8 und hatten ausreichend Platz. Für Abends sollte man Autan o.Ä. dabei haben. Alles war sauber und gemütlich. Der Pool ist groß und sauber. Die Vermieter sind sehr sympathisch und sehr nett!

Sehr angenehme Gastgeber, tolle Finca mit sehr gepflegtem Garten. Es ist alles vorhanden. Die Aussicht auf das Meer ist herrlich. Zur Finca hin fährt man etwa 10 Minuten den Berg rauf, die Straßen sind hier gut befahrbar.

Ruhig und erholsam
Das Haus liegt am Berghang auf einem terassenartigem Gelände. Es liegt sehr idyllisch, ruhig und fern vom Trubel der Stadt. Es bietet einen wunderschönen Blick ins Tal. Allerdings ist Meerblick nur vom oberen Balkon möglich. Es hat 2 Schlafzimmer im Dachgeschoss und 3 Schlafzimmer im Untergeschoss. Insgesamt gibt es 3 Badezimmer mit Duschen. Es ist für 9 Personen ausreichend mit allem ausgestattet, der Esstisch in der Küche ist für 9 Personen allerdings zu klein. Der Esstisch und Stühle außen könnten bei längeren Grillabenden etwas gemütlicher sein. Die Temperaturen am Abend sind aufgrund der Lage in den Bergen angenehmer als in Alassio selbst. Eine dünne Jacke hilft, wenn es später und kühler wird. Man sollte auf Mücken am Abend und sporadischem Auftreten von Ameisen vorbereitet sein. Die Besitzer leben direkt nebenan und sind sehr liebenwert und helfen mit vielen Empfehlungen zu Strand, Restaurants oder sonstigen Aktivitäten. Der Pool ist ein Salzwasserpool, was wir als sehr angenehm empfunden haben. Die Straße zum Haus ist eng! Bei Gegenverkehr muss man rückwärts fahren bis eine Ausweichbucht kommt. Der Weg in die Stadt dauert 15 bis 20 Minuten mit dem Auto. Parken kann man gut aber kostenpflichtig am Bahnhof oder beim Carrefour.

What a gem
We were two families together with kids between 0 and 12 and we have a fantastic stay. The house, pool and the views are spectacular and was easily spacious for the eight if us. Elisa and Ricardo are wonderful hosts that really made us feel welcome and was so helpful with tips to restraints and the area and Elisa even helped us book a taxi one night. Wonderful people and a wonderful property. We’re coming back!

un très très beau séjour dans une maison de charme au milieu d'une nature merveilleuse
la propriété est magnifique dans un beau jardin très bien entretenu. Bien-sûr la piscine est belle mais nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié de nous promener sur les sentiers au-dessus de la propriété, à l'ombre des arbres aux essences si variées. Elisa nous a très bien accueillis et conseillés pour la plage dans le très beau village de Laigueglia.

Eine Oase der Ruhe mit herrlichem Ausblick und netten Gastgebern....
Wir waren zu sechst die kompletten Pfingstferien in diesem herrlich gelegenen Anwesen. Nach einer mühsamen Fahrt (Schweiz) setzte jedoch alsbald die ersehnte Erholung ein! (Gesamtkosten Autobahngebühr - zwei 10 Tagesvignetten Österreich 22 EUR, Jahresvignette Schweiz 39 EUR, Gebühr Italien vor Mailand 1x 2,30 EUR, 1x 3,10 EUR, dann 19,10 EUR bis kurz vor dem Ziel!) Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und bietet genügend Platz für alle! Eines der Zimmer im Untergeschoss verfügt über ein direkt angeschlossenes Badezimmer, bei den anderen Zimmern befindet es sich außerhalb. Die Zimmer im Subterrain haben direkten Zugang zu einer weiteren Terrasse, dafür hat das Mansardenzmmer den schönsten Ausblick! Die Ausstattung der Küche und des Grillbereichs lässt keine Wünsche offen und bietet alles, was man für den Aufenthalt benötigt (für gute Luftzufuhr beim Grillen war der mitgebrachte Blasebalg sehr hilfreich!). Für einen evtl. Stromausfall (zu viele Geräte gleichzeitig im Betrieb!?) gibt es außerhalb des Hauses einen Hauptschalter, der sofort die notwendige Versorgung wieder sicher stellt! (genauen Ort bei Elisa erfragen). Durch eine scheinbar fehlende Normierung passen deutsche Stecker bei einigen Dosen nicht, ein Adapter schafft hier Abhilfe. Der Pool ist sehr gut temperiert und wird durch eine elektronische Abdeckung geöffnet/geschlossen (macht der Gast). Die Terrasse sowie alle Zimmer verfügen über einen Moskitoschutz, der gerade zu Abendstunden sehr hilfreich ist. Nachts (ca. gegen 03:00 Uhr) starten an einigen Stellen automatisch Sprenkleranlagen, die für sattes grünes Gras sorgen, evtl. herausgehängte Wäsche sollte im Vorfeld beseitigt werden. Alassio ist zwar eine sehr schöne natürlich gewachsene Stadt, sorgt jedoch bei der Parkplatzsuche für ansteigenden Unmut. Der Zugang zum Strandbereich ist reguliert und zwei Sonnenliegen plus ein Schirm kosten je nach Lage ab 35 EUR! Für einen größeren Einkauf empfiehlt sich eher das Centro Commerciale, Regione Bagnoli, 37 in 17031 Albenga (findet das Navi), es sei denn man möchte seine Einkäufe über weite Stecken tragen, dann auch die kleineren, nicht so gut sortierten, Märkte in Alassio:-) Da das Haus auch über einen Gefrierschrank verfügt, empfiehlt sich ein größerer Einkauf, um eher die Aussicht als den Serpentinenverkehr zu genießen! Wurst, Fleisch und Käse scheinen derzeit billiger als in Deutschland, das meiste Andere kann weitgehend als 1:1 beurteilt werden. Vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft!!

Wunderschöner Ausblick
Wir verbrachten vier entspannten Tage über Ostern in der Villa Maclura. Das saubere und gepflegtes Haus befindet sich in der hügelig Landschaft von Alassio. Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist wunderschön man genießt morgens beim Frühstück die Ruhe und die der Ausblick auf Natur und Meer. Der Pool lädt zum verweilen ein leider konnten wir es noch nicht benutzen da es noch recht kühl war. Die Vermietern waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, haben uns sehr gute Tipps gegeben. Trattoria, Metzgerei, olivenöl usw...... Wir haben uns sehr voll gefühlt.

Sehr schöner Urlaub
Die Ferienwohnung ist wunderschön und ruhig gelegen. An der Ausstattung hat es an nichts gefehlt und die Vermieterin war immer sehr freundlich und hat sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert, wenn wir ein Anliegen hatten. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Lediglich der Entfeuchter im Keller, in dem auch Schlafräume sind, war uns zu laut.

Erholsame Tage in der Villa Maclura
wir (5 Erwachsene) haben eine wunderbare Ferienwoche in der Villa Maclura in Vegliasco verbracht. Ein gemütliches Haus mit schönen Zimmern und Bädern, genügend Platz für ausreichend Privatsphäre für jeden. Der überdachte Essplatz draussen war für alle Mahlzeiten zentraler Treff- und Kommunikationspunkt. Und nach den Wanderungen ins Hinterland der Küste, die man direkt vom Haus aus starten kann, war der traumhafte Pool immer eine willkommene Erfrischung. Im nächsten Bergdorf (Moglio) findet sich ein Bäcker, eine nette Bar und ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant. Und ans Meer nach Alassio fährt man auch nur ca 20 Minuten. Ein Highlight war auch der wunderschöne Feigenbaum im Garten, an dem wir uns einfach bedienen konnten. Vielen Dank an Elisa und Ricardo, die sehr netten, hilfsbereiten und doch zurückhaltenden Vermieter.

Très belle maison typique sur la colline d'Alassio
Très belle maison perchée sur la colline, restaurée et décorée avec beaucoup de gout et gardant toute la tradition ligurienne. Bon confort des chambres et salles de bain, beau jardin privatif avec quelques arbres fruitiers et une piscine très propre et de bonne taille. La vue de la terrasse est superbe. Les propriétaires sont charmants et font tout pour que le séjour se passe agréablement.

Schöne Anlage in den Bergen
Eine schöne Anlage in den Bergen. Das Haus ist gut sortiert und es ist alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Der Poolbereich ist sehr schön. Wir waren im August da und sehr dankbar über den Pool weil ein Strandbesuch aufgrund von Ferragosto kaum möglich war. Das Haus bietet Treppenschutzgitter was für uns sehr hilfreich war. Das Haus liegt in den Bergen und ist über eine schmale Straße zu erreichen. Im Nachbarort gibt es eine Bäckerei. Ansonsten muss man zum Einkaufen nach Alassio. Die Vermieter Elisa und ihr Mann sind sehr nett und immer zur Stelle bei Fragen.
