Arabian Beauty
I am told this is the oldest hotel in Fujairah. Although bit dated, still has a charm and elegance. Very welcoming and helpful staff. The fragrance in the lounge was beautiful, I did not use the dining facilities, but the beech and the gym are excellent. I would not hesitate to go back there.

Great staff , hotel looks dated
Upon arrival given a room which smelt quite bad, and curtain torn and patio door was misty with dirt or what appeared to be fungus. The concierge agreed and said he would ask about another room. A new room was provided but no apology from Iana , the manager / receptionist at that time. there was No cash machine Steam room was very dated and seats appeared mouldy and smelt However staff were very good We checked out 2 days early and we had a refund . Upon asking Iana to speak to the manager , she went over to him (Ahmed) and advised him We suspect of the refund and early check out etc .. I explained to Ahmed about original room , hotel appearance cash machine and steam room . He quickly offered the 2 Days refund and, said thank you And would advise senior management Of my feedback. Once we were back in the UK , we noticed that trouser we have for dry cleaning, now had more marks on it than before, had we noticed whilst we were there we would had asked for a refund on the laundry bill

Mediocre AT BEST
Our stay at the Hilton Fujairah was extremely disappointing. The pictures are very misleading as the hotel is very old (+20 years) and needs some major maintenance. The hotel is located at a round-about in Fujairah so expect lot's of noise at night. Having stayed at multiple Hilton's through-out the world, this hotel was definitely not upto the "Hilton Standards". For the money they're charging you(paid $400 USD per night), you would expect much much much more. For that kind of money you can get a superb room in a 5-star hotel AROUND THE WORLD. This is definitely not a 5-star resort. Upon arrival, we had to wait till 2 pm to be able to check-in, granted it is a busy time. We had booked a king-size room with balcony and sea-view room, and we were given a low-level, no sea-view room. Upon complaining it was rectified and we were offered 5 complimentary drinks at the cafe. The phone in the room was not working, we had requested for extra shampoo, coffee etc, simple BASIC room service was not provided. The buffet for dinner and breakfast was a 2/5, normal hotel food you would expect from a "Best-western" and "holiday-inn" BUT NOT a Hilton. Overall, would not stay here again ever, there are plenty of other resorts in AL Aqqa just a little north. Experience 4/10 Food 3/10 Value for money 2/10

Very rude front desk Iana
I booked a room on hotels.com Front desk staff Iana couldn't find it in the system so she asked to forward my booking to her email. After seeing the valid booking in her email all paid for, she still refuses to check me in and starts attending other guests. She says it's not her problem if the booking does not show in the system. After letting me call customer service of hotels.com from my mobile and talking to them she still refuses to check me in. Finally after 45 minutes and continuous calls to hotels.com she finally accept to give me a room but lower standard than the one i booked and paid for. Very rude attitude and constantly refuses to find a solution. I request due action on this unacceptable attitude for a hotel of your standard.

Not the 5 star I know
Upon arrival, we had to wait in the car for 5 min before valet arrived. Checkin was at 2pm but we were told its at 3pm. I thought the elevator was going to break. I had to take step down when the elevator door opened and and step up to get out. The room view was of the oil refinery so when we slept, you smelled crude oil. Black mold at the bottom of the minibar. Old furniture in the room. Our room phone number did not match the room number. Not the best beach view and hotel is at a construction site. This is no longer a good view of the Indian Ocean since oil tankers are lined up in the horizon. Breakfast was terrible. I'm glad I had a bottle of wine and cheese that we brought along to last the one night we had in the this hotel. The minute I saw delight, we packed up and headed home back to Dubai. Driving a few more miles to Dibba would have been better. This hotel has potential but would need alot of improvements. Btw, we both got sick from the breakfast or fumes of the crude oil.

worn out hotel - checked out after 1 night
Booked to stay here 3 nights as it stated 5 star resort hotel Hilton but hated it and left straight away. The only thing 5 star is the price they are charging. This is not a Hilton by any stretch of the imagination. The hotel is old and worn out. Men were painting in places but this is just papering over dirt and cracked paint. The rooms were noisy old and smell of damp. The fixtures and furnature were in disrepair. I have thrown better things in the trash. The place is just dirty and old. The air conditioning was so noisy it was impossible to sleep. There was constant noise from slamming doors and noise from staff shouting at each other down the corridor. Hilton shame on you. This is like a fake version. I would never recommend this hotel.

Disappointing stay.
I do not like to leave bad comments but I feel so sorry to say that my stay at Hilton Fujairah was very disappointed; the Hotel looked old and neglected. Too expensive for what it was, it did not seem like a Hilton and not even like a three (3) stars hotel. The walls need paint, the floor of the hallways and stairs always were dirty, everything looked old and decayed, the corridors outside the rooms were smelly (as if they had a problem with the ventilation of the sewers) and I had to ask the employees to change my sheets, because they smelled of sweat. The food was not bad, but again I did not feel like I was in a luxury hotel at all. The staff seemed to make an effort to be kind but the did not look happy. They looked like scared or in rush. Is important to notice that the sand of the beach is black and the sea is dark.

Disappointed.
Advertised as a 5 star hotel. Check-in went well and fast although I had to ask how to get to the room. The elevators are tiny and outdated. Upon opening the room it smelled like mildew and musty. TVs were outdated and remotes felt greasy. The second bathroom had mold in the shower and the main bathroom did not drain well as we discovered it was like standing in a pond. Hallway is open air and is very loud with door slamming so at all times of day and night. The staff are all pleasant, but the hotel is barely a 3 star. We have been coming to Fujairah for 5 years and took a gamble on this hotel. The last night we were very disappointed as a group of drunks took over the outdoor pool bar, so we avoided that obnoxious scene. Later in the evening the same drunks came to the restaurant and made rude whistling jestures to my fiancé when we walked in. The bartender and security should have cut their drinks off earlier in the day. Then we tried room service and be compensated for the restaurant not having a buffet, not doing anything with drunkards, and ordering off the menu. Took over one hour for return calls and get my half board sorted as we were going to pay full price each time we ate dinner. Finally ordered a Pizza Hut pizza and even then it was difficult for the driver as he had to be escorted to the room. We left early the next morning early and never to return. The hotel has potential but needs a lot of work to become a 5 star like the Ritz.

Experience was good but not great!
It was not a very pleasant stay. The telephone in the room was not working properly. Importantly, late at night, room service kept knocking at our door bringing stuff which we had not requested, if we did not open the door they would keep calling and this kept repeating resulting in our sleep getting disturbed. Overall we were not very happy with the service, definitely not the five star standard we expect. The breakfast, beach and few other amenities were good though.

Not the Hilton experience I am used to.
The location is great - this service good but I preferred to be out of my room- it smelt of damp. Everything from the proportions to the amenities were ungeneous - will find sonewhere else next time - the beach front was good and the so were the staff - the rooms need attention.

Good hotel but needs improvement.
Unlike many hotels, their check in time is at 3:00 which is a bit late considering that u still have to check out at 12:00. However, we went to the hotel at 3:30 but the rooms weren't ready till after 5:30. We didn't panic because we spent the time on the pool. The hotels needs a lot to keep its name. Reception staff Ahmed was very helpful and friendly and tried to deal with many clients at the same time with his positive attitudes and good manners.

Going Downhill
We have been using the Fujairah Hilton regularly for nearly 25 years but this time we were disappointed with those little touches that one has come to expect - though the setting and facilities in general are still good. First the person on reception was not exactly as welcoming or efficient as they used to be in 'the old days'. Also, his English was so bad, we had to ask him to repeat everything about 5 times before we understood what he was saying. Granted, he was quite young and maybe this was his first try on reception and he was nervous. When we got to our room, directly outside our door was the remains of the previous guests' lunch. It was definitely from our room because there was not another door next to it (room 114). This was 7:30 in the evening - so it must have been there a long time. Guess what - at 10:30 when we returned from dinner - the tray was still there. Is this what you expect from the Hilton? When we first went inside our room, there were no bath towels, robes or slippers. When we tried to call housekeeping, and also reception, there was no reply, so we had to go down and tell them. I'm pretty sure the bathroom minis have been scaled back too, in terms of variety and quality - and I noticed that the usual letter of welcome for returning Hilton Honors members was not waiting for us. I seem to remember in the past some fruit, chocolate left in the evening - stuff like that - but none of that now! When I used the showers in the changing rooms after having a swim, the first shower had no soap dispenser (broken off the wall) and the second one had a broken dispenser. It looked so shabby - not to mention there was no soap, so I had to use my shampoo, which fortunately I had brought with me. As has happened in the past, the room keys constantly had to be reactivated. They tell us that we must be keeping them next to our phones, but one time I deliberately kept my key in my pocket well away from my phone, and it still wouldn't work. I stay in enough hotels to know that it must be something to do with the room keys they use - it rarely happens in other hotels. It is so annoying to have to keep going down to reception. I think they have put the Internet charges up since we last stayed there - 50 dhs a day. These days, nearly all hotels throw this is for free, so how come the Hilton have actually increased the price? (someone on reception actually told me the price had increased when I asked) Finally, isn't it about time they changed the a.c.'s? They are nearly as noisy as a vacuum cleaner. I blame some of this on the new manager. He is not supervising things as he should. These things would not have happened under the previous management. Most of the above could have been avoided and our stay would have been more pleasant. After all, the price is not exactly 'budget' so one expects higher standards.
