"The people running the hotel are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The hotel itself is older and the room was small but it was also inexpensive. They ask us not to flush the toilet or shower after 10pm, because the plumbing is old, but it is disclosured up front. The town is nice and the area beautiful. We hiked a lot."

"Fantastic holiday in a beautiful location - very well equipped house with everything you could need for a holiday. The house is a good size - we were a family of 5 so were in luxury! The games room was a big success with teenagers more used to xbox over the last year - table footy, pool and darts - several fun evenings! The massive selection of dvds and books for all ages meant that a rainy day wouldn't have spoiled the holiday. We brought our mountain bikes and found some good trails locally-...

"The hotel section (there's a connected restaurant across the road) was tidy, modern, warm and well decorated. We had booked a 'mountain view' room, but were given a lake view room at no extra cost, and which saved us an extra flight of stairs to carry bags. The manager, who greeted us, was very friendly, helpful, and even insisted on helping us with one of our bags going upstairs. "We didn't expect too much. We arrived decently late and tried to call multiple times to check how late we could check in, the first 2x the phone was not answered. We were asked if we want to see the restaurant menu but were not informed when it closes so by the time we went to the restaurant the kitchen had closed and no warm dishes were available. Cozy and secluded chalet

"A comfortable and well-equipped rental. It had everything imaginable in terms of kitchenware, recreational materials (games, cards), tourist brochures, cleaning materials, and bathroom supplies. The tourist information was solely in French as well as all instructions for the use of appliances. We highly recommend an English version, especially for the appliances, for those who have little to no French. Unfortunately, we had an issue with the owner about charges for linen and towels. The VRBO English site indicated no extra charge for this. It seems that the French site did. This is a serious oversight/problem. Beware users of the English website before you book! However, Corinne was very amenable and understanding about this issue and we resolved it amicably. Overall, the accommodation is very good. And visiting such a beautiful volcanic landscape was an unforgettable and once in a lifetime experience. Merci, Corinne. "

An amazing week in the Auvergne

"This was a really comfortable cottage for our large family. It had everything we needed and the surrounding area is beautiful. There is plenty to do and see in the vicinity. We would recommend Super Besse for outdoor activities and for climbing Puy de Sancy - the highest peak in the Massif Central. M. Dif was very helpful getting us settled in and very responsive whenever we had any questions."
