"This is the quietest holiday on record for us and we always look for quiet locations. The house is a charm and François and Claudine made for the most hospitable hosts. The Vendée has so much to offer and we loved the safe cycling on flat roads using the bikes that came with the property. It’s about an hour to La Rochelle and in east reach of many delightful villages. Highly recommended"

"The property internally was very good but needs some finishing off. Property full of flies. VRBO advertised property inclusive of use of pool and hot tub. Owner requested 100 euro’s for 7 days use of hot tub. Externally on arrival the grass was not cut, pool had not been cleaned and Wi-Fi was inoperable. Pool was cleaned on arrival, Wi-Fi was repaired following day. Grass was not cut. The owners dog used the long grass at the end of the pool to do it’s business. We will not return to this...

"Venus découvrir et faire du vélo , nous avons été très très déçus par le manque d'informations sur les pistes praticables et réelles : certaines se terminent en rien du tout ou en bief et ornières . Heureusement , barques, oiseaux, églises sont venus occuper nos loisirs en plus du pédalage. Nous allons faire remonter notre mécontentement qui ne concerne que les chemins et panneaux routiers de cette belle région."

"We had a wonderful week. Communication beforehand was great and nothing was too much trouble. If youre looking for bright lights and busyness this is not it - though its only a car journey away. The pool about a minute's walk down the path was beautiful. The cottage was clean and contained everything we needed. Would return."
