"Everything was perfect thank you"

"My family of 4 enjoyed this property. Pros: There was always a place by the pool or at the beach. In fact, I've never visited a resort where I didn't have to play the towel game. Even if I slept till 9 and went to the beach, I could always find a chair and umbrella (to me, this is priceless). The room was nice and clean. We had excellent service each day and were refilled with water and coffee pods for the next morning. The resort didn't feel crowded, and most of the staff was very friendly. Views, not even the ocean view, from the room was breathtaking. Cons: For some reason they have half of the building closed off for renovations but still do work on the wing that is occupied. My kids were woken up each morning at 7:30AM, and with teenagers, they weren't so pleased. I understand renovations are necessary, but there is a better way to section off the hotel to minimize the disruption to guests. Despite complaints, they don't seem to understand how to accomplish this. Also, resort fees were a little on the pricey side. I thought it was odd they put $1,400 on hold on my credit card and they actually charged $900 upon departure for fees and some of the food/drinks we put on the room. Overall, we liked this place a lot. "

"The hosts were so accommodating, helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It was such a peaceful and lovely setting. "

"Gorgeous view.. Very small, simple room and was perfect for our one night stay. Pool and bar by a gorgeous beach and within close distance to the Kiosks!"

"The pool was awesome. The staff was amazing. Especially liked the main bar bartenders, Ruben and Raymond. They were great guys to talk with, and made our experience a lot more fun! Rooms were always clean and beds were very comfortable. Only bad thing there was the no-seeum bugs that bite like crazy.... we would definitely return! "

"We loved Hix Island House!! It was quiet, except for nature sounds, and peaceful. Our unit had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t, a comfortable bed with mosquito netting, (I never saw a mosquito or a fly), fridge, 2 burner stove, basic kitchen supplies, plenty of thick towels, ceiling fan, (no air conditioning but it wasn’t needed) and an outside shower. The breakfast supplies were much appreciated and were restocked every other day. We enjoyed the refreshing swimming pool and the spacious grounds. We also appreciated the free use of beach towels, chairs, umbrella and a bag cooler. And we enjoyed learning the fascinating history of Hix. If we return to Vieques, we will stay there again. "

"They were awesome from communication before my trip even started to when my ferry got there, will definitely recommend it’s not a f star hotel so if that’s what your looking for not the the place for you like staying at moms house is the best way to describe it, clean and the view was to gorgeous "
