Ruined my holiday and can't be trusted
Scam artist. Cancelled my booking a told me to go to another hotel, when I arrived. They didn't even offer me a drink or to pay the additional 8 Euros I had to pay for the taxi. I was even told that the new place was cheaper, and that was a lie. Also at the new place they didn't know about the deposit I had already paid for the hotel, so I had to pay full price for the new hotel and a higher rate. I still don't know where the deposit is. When I phoned back to the hotel to insist that they come to pay my deposit to the new hotel Inga put the phone down on me. I made the booking about 5 days before I was due to arrive and even phoned and spoke to Inga, I explained I was an female travelling alone and I had health issues so would need assistance to get my bags up the stairs. She was very helpful and even said she would put my in low level accomodation. When I got there she said that they had overbooked and there was no accomodation available. But I suspect that they had got another offer for the accomodation from a couple or family. I think they got rid of me because I was travelling alone. It ruined the first holiday I have taken in 12 years and it was also my birthday. It caused me alot of distress. Also the photo's of the property do not show the extremely steep walk to the road and car park. So not a good place if you have health problems.

The owner of this property was very energetic. We booked a room for three. The room was on third floor without an elevator. I had my dad who is 68 and mom who is 62 years old accompany with me (plus our heavy luggages) so I asked if there is another room on first floor. She said the property is all full. Then I told her I will book another room on first or second floor then she said give her two hours, she will clean a room. So we ended up having two rooms which was not bad (it's actually very good value) because if we only had one room, I had to sleep on the bed in the living room, where no AC. (It was around 30 degrees without AC in the living room). Door was very old, it was very difficult to open even for the owner. There was a cute pomeranian dog wondering around all suites. If we kept our balcony door open, he come in and goes out like he was guarding everyone. There was no boundary for balconies. Another guests were sitting in my balcony without saying anything to me which kinda bothered me because they can see inside of my suite through big glass door if I don't close the curtain. Elounda is very windy in June. The strong wind striking windows was kinda scary at night. Bedding and kitchenary were clean.

Établissement sur les hauteurs de la baie d’Eliunda avec de très belles vues. Malheureusement notre séjour a été gâché par la proximité de la route très fréquentée et des fenêtres très peu efficaces (pas étanche au bruit et au vent). De plus un équipement métallique sur le toit fait du bruit toute la nuit. Un conseil : demander un appart proche de la piscine (sympa), vue moins impressionnante mais au calme.

Con questa recensione, spero di fornire un grosso aiuto a chi si appresta a prenotare presso " Elounda Ocean View Suites ". Avevo prenotato una camere con Hotels.com vari mesi fa. Nonostante la conferma di prenotazione 2 giorni prima del chek - in, la struttura mi contatta dicendomi che a causa di overbooked si vedeva costretta a cancellare la prenotazione e contestualmente mi proponeva una struttura distante circa 55 km da quella prenotata. Questo comportamento mi ha lasciato abbastanza sconcertato anche perché leggendo le 4 recensioni verificate sul sito hotel.com mi sono accorto (purtroppo tardivamente) che è consuetudine del gestore della struttura di cambiare o modificare le prenotazioni con uno o due giorni, o addirittura senza preavviso. (Veggasi recensione del 18 giugno 2022). Probabilmente è un suo modus operante. Quando prenotate fate attenzione, perché quello che è successo a noi, potrebbe capitare anche a voi!!! Tanto si segnala affinchè la mia esperienza negativa può aiutare altri viaggiatori a fare la scelta giusta.
